Standard Mexican restaurant with poor execution on most things.
Starting with the good.🙂 Pepsi products and sweet tea were as you would want them to be. Service was prompt and cups never ran dry.
Chips were fresh and brought to the table when we sat down. Queso was your standard white variety and good.
The "not so good"... 😟 The salsa was served to my party of 4 adults and 2 small children in 2 communal bowls. I much prefer the decanter and individual bowl method of serving salsa. I asked for individual bowls and got them quickly though. My 2 year old began dipping in his little dish and I soon discovered from his crying that this is the spiciest default salsa I have ever had. 🥵I would say much too spicy for most especially children. We had to switch to queso, nearly $5 for about a 4oz dish.
The mexican rice that most of our party had as a side was the worst I've ever had. It was a little dry and had a off putting flavor. The rice almost seemed to be brown rice but I'm guessing it wasn't. Almost inedible.
I personally had mixed fajitas. They came out in cast iron but not sissling. Fajitas skillet included meat, green peppers, and onions. The veggies were chopped instead of the expected sliced. It lacked visual appeal without any vibrant colors and the flavors were muted. Almost no charring and the portion was small for the dinner price I paid.
The side plate included no guacamole which was disappointing but it did include pico. Their pico was a simple large dice of tomato onion and jalapeno.
If you are in the mood for Mexican I would look elsewhere. Good service but the food didn't deliver what I was looking for from a Mexican...
Read moreWe have eaten here quite a few times. Today we went in for a quick lunch because we only had 45 minutes to eat and they have always been quick at getting our food out in the past. We ordered our meals and a pitcher of margaritas. It was brought out to us and had chunks of dried up food stuck to the inside of the pitcher. I let our waiter know and without saying anything grabbed the pitcher off of the the table with an attitude. While he was gone I inspected my glass which I got with salt on the rim. It was also covered with crusted food. I then showed him the glass. He then grabbed the glass with an attitude and brought back a clean glass with no salt and no straw and started to walk away. I followed him to the register as to not cause a scene for the others who were eating there and said, excuse me sir I ordered salt and I need a straw. He again said nothing to me picked up the glass and threw it up against the wall and broke it. I then told him he could cancel our order and that we would not be eating there. I also informed him I would be writing this review. The other people who were dining there spoke up and said, good for you we received the same horrible customer service that you did. The cleanliness of the dishes was horrible. If you like eating chunks of the previous guests food with you margaritas and watching grown men act like spoiled children, this is the place for you. If you don't enjoy those things, head to Dover for a Taco.
Side note. We ran out or time to have lunch and didn't have time to go anywhere else. Icing...
Read moreIt takes a lot to get me to come here and go out of my way to leave a review. I could get shot and I'd rather drive myself to the ER rather than bother someone with 911. This place is literally worse than the Holocaust. I'm not racist by any means but right off the bat the waiter clearly doesn't understand English and talks very short and quietly as an attempt to mask this. My order was COMPLETELY wrong. I ordered white and received black. He then came back to check on us and asked if everything was ok and good and after clearly saying no and expressing dissapointment only said "o so sorry broter" and then speedily left. Never checked on us again after. Paid full price for a meal with not even a full bite taken out of me. I'd rather vote for Bernie than come...
