I disliked it. It was my first time here and I gotta say it's nothing special. My step dad recommended I try it since he loved it, but he's older. I think if you're older and your taste buds aren't what they used to be, this place would be great. I got a pretty standard Bacon and Egg breakfast with hash browns and grits. It was super bland, no flavor, no seasoning, not a good breakfast. This places falls into the category of just some breakfast place. There are a lot of other places in the area, two specifically that are much much better. For their prices it isn't worth it to me.
I don't understand where all these 4 or 5 star reviews come from. The place seems old and needs some updating. It is some what clean but not entirely since I was given a dirty fork to start with. It did have a lot of room which is one positive and good staff working here, but honestly that is it. Maybe it's better for lunch, but again for the prices there are a dozen other places I'd consider first before ever going here again. I don't hate it, but I don't recommend it either. First and last time for me. Now to find something else to eat since I'm...
Read moreMy mother and I (and my dad before he passed) have been customers since the original building across the street. We have always loved going here until today. I understand it was a bit busy but we walked in (my mother 84 and myself). We were waiting and were up next to be seated. Another group of 4 walked in and the young lady seemed to know them and winked at them and said my mom isn't here yet and proceeded to check a couple out (her mom usually does this) then sat that group of 4 overlooked us and seated them at a booth. We immediately left. It saddens me because we have always loved Jimmy's but obviously they do preferential seating and it seems rude to me to overlook anyone regardless. If we ever go back it will be a very long time. We love the long time faithful employee of Jimmy, Lorrie but unfortunately this event was very disappointing. All customers are important and last I heard, Jimmys doesn't take...
Read moreI have been visiting Jimmy's Blvd. Rest. since 1979. Jimmy's has always served fresh, home made, quality food. Salads and soups are made fresh. He makes real mashed potato's. His luncheon specials are delicious. His breakfast meals are prepared as ordered and we love the fresh made bisquits and gravy made here. Being retired we generally visit Jimmy's several times a week. The restaurant is open 6 days a week with Sundays being closed. We know and love all of the waitresses at Jimmy's and they all know how to provide excellent service to their customers.
Please wear a mask. Hand sanitizer is provided at the counter. Booths have plexi- glass partitions for your safety. All employees wear masks for your safety. This restaurant is kept clean. They have always had excellent inspections! Jimmy's also has an out door patio for those who want to eat in the fresh air. Hope to...
