I had the pleasure of dining at Ajisen Ramen recently, and it was indeed a delightful experience from start to finish. As soon as I arrived, I should have known it would be fantastic simply by the long line of eager customers waiting to savor their delicious offerings. Accompanied by my daughter, we embarked on a culinary journey that satisfied us thoroughly. We indulged in some shrimp tempura as an appetizer to begin our meal. We could tell it was prepared with care when it arrived at our table. The shrimp were crispy on the outside while maintaining their juicy freshness. It set the tone for the exceptional dining experience that followed. I opted for the miso ramen for my main course, and my daughter chose the chicken teriyaki. Both dishes were beyond our expectations. The miso ramen had a rich and flavorful broth that perfectly complemented the tender noodles and generous toppings. Every spoonful was a burst of umami goodness. As for the chicken teriyaki, the meat was impeccably cooked, juicy, and infused with the delectable teriyaki sauce. It was a true delight for the taste buds. Although there was a bit of a wait for our food, it was completely worth it. The freshness and savory flavors of the dishes made it clear that each one was prepared with great attention to detail. Moreover, the service we received was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure our dining experience was terrific. Their warm and welcoming approach added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. Ajisen Ramen has earned my highest recommendation: the fresh and savory food and the incredible service made for an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a ramen enthusiast or want to indulge in delectable Japanese cuisine, Ajisen Ramen is the perfect destination. Just be prepared to wait, as the line of eager patrons speaks volumes about the restaurant's...

Yesterday was a pretty grueling day. I was pretty tired the entire time at work, so I was really looking for a pick-me-up to help me finish out the day strong. My girlfriend of around a year (we celebrated our one-year anniversary around a week ago!) was in Chinatown around the time I got out, as she was out with a friend at the time. It just so happened that we were both in the area, so we went to visit an old spot of hours. Prior to the beginning of our relationship, we had enjoyed some good meals here as friends, so I was excited to get back to a classic comfort meal to satiate myself. We came at around 5:30 pm (there is only one menu and lunch and dinner); I ordered the Ajisen Deluxe Ramen while she only ordered the regular version. Ingredients in both meals are the same, except I was also able to feast on a wonderfully fatty tender rib that day. The meal was delectable as always, however, I noticed that the portions for the accompanying cha siu were smaller than on previous occasions. The soup, on the other hand, was more flavorful this time. Perhaps they added a black garlic infusion to the broth, as per my girlfriend. As we ate, we talked about our lives and future together, and we had a fun time reliving old memories such as going to Governor's Island, talking atthe Manhattan piers, riding the train to Astoria Park, etc. The meal was not pricey at all and was very standard for ramen! Ajisen has barely increased their prices in the past few years. After our meal, we walked around the neighborhood and parted ways because we were both tuckered out from earlier in the day. Later that night, we would play Civilization V together. All in all, Ajisen Ramen was a very fun experience and I recommend their warm, comforting noodles and...

Went here with great expectations and was not let down at all. Went for the first time on a late Friday afternoon by myself and had the Spicy Ajisen ramen. The waitress was super helpful and suggested I go with a combination of the regular broth with spicy ground pork for a medium spicy experience. I took her suggestion and the ramen was just perfect. Also, arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. So I dragged the husband and child two days later on a late Sunday afternoon to the same place so they could try it too. Completely different experience in terms of service. There was only one person trying to juggle all the tasks at one time and it was pretty miserable. We waited for almost 40 minutes for our food ( which seemed like an eternity for a very hungry 4 year old, and to us too!) Once the food finally arrived, I asked for forks, which came after 10 minutes, inspite of a reminder. They forgot our bubble tea, but by then, we were just so grateful to have our food in front of us that we didn't bother to remind them. They did remember in the end when we asked for the check, but offered it to us complimentary. The food, however, was outstanding again. We had the Tomyum chicken ramen, Ajisen spicy ramen and chicken katsu curry this time. I would recommend all of them. If you can survive the wait, that is. Would be advisable to go on a weekday, when you will have your...
