Alex's Tacos — Restaurant in New York

I am about 5 months pregnant, and ii was CRAVING!! some taco's so i went on grubhub because it was already after 8pm and i knew that i could count on grubhub to help me with my cravings. So i came across Alex Taco's And Deli and i was LOVING the menu, so me being greedy i went and order 3 soft shell beef tacos, in the instructions i clearly stated that i wanted lettuce, tomatoes and cheese inside and EXTRA sour cream, and salsa on the side! NO GUACAMOLE ! (yuck lol) so my total came to about 10.00, so i confirmed my order and now im DROOLING waiting for my tacos, i ordered around 8:22pm and my tacos were here by 8:55pm, the delivery time was PERFECT! so i tipped the delivery guy $5, by now im DANCING because im so happy about my tacos, (now mind you i live in the area and i pass this spot all the time and say that i cannot wait to give them a try) id ont know if it was because i ordered and hour before closing time (which should NEVER be an excuse for a restaurant btw) but when i opened the bag and looked at the taco's i was IMMEDIATELY displeased, one taco only had ground beef in it, the other two were made sooooo sloppy and had ALOT of ground beef, A TON of lettuce and some tomatoes, NO cheese and they gave me guacamole, no salsa and 1 little container of sour cream, now im not THAT picky so i was like ok lemme try it, as soon as i bit into the taco all i tasted was DESERT! that was hands down the DRIEST taco and the DRIEST ground beef i have EVER eaten in my life, it was like they almost burnt the ground beef, idk if i will EVER order or eat from here again, i'd rather go to Taco Bell and get tacos from there!!!

I order for the first time today and was super excited since I've been wanting for weeks to try the food. I ordered mixed tacos and asked the add everything on them except onions. I repeated the NO ONION part a few times. I received it and guess what was all over my machos 😡 DARN ONIONS. I called the restaurant being as polite as could be and got a nasty response from them. They did not want to change my order and only continued to tell me "if you told us we would have wrote it down"! It took me getting upset about spending $11 for them to say fine we will send you a new order. All the while they could not have been more rude....

Best nachos and tacos I've had in the bronx, every weekend I usually go and order some chicken and carnita tacos and it comes out delicious. Only issue is the wait time, I've waited in the restaurant for a good 30 mins or so before I got my food, at least you know they take their time and it's fresh when you get it. Their drinks are fresh and really good too. I would def recommend this place over your average bar food or chipotle for Mexican...
