Altamirano's Italian Ristorante — Restaurant in New York

We are so happy for the family & team behind Altamirano's. We have become quite fond of coming here since its opening in May 2025. We have tried a handful of dishes, some more than once: lamb chops (excellent), roast chicken (perfectly seasoned) with roasted potatoes and crisp, roasted asparagus, a classic Caesar featuring the best romaine lettuce I've seen in months, meatballs, beet salad, fritto misto, watermelon salad, ravioli, spaghetti, octopus salad, truffle fries, numerous fish specials and delicious desserts including our two favorites so far, the cheesecake (and I never order cheesecake anywhere!) and the tiramisu. We love the staff and bartenders; everyone works seamlessly together like an orchestra, making it fun to watch. If we've asked for a drink off the menu or an adjustment to our entree or salad, they offer suggestions on how they can make what we want happen. Perfect for a date night at the bar, occasionally they have on a big game, a classic family gathering, or even a big party or work event, the space, menu, and bar offer a variety of ways for patrons to celebrate and enjoy this new local gem.

This Lovely new Restaurant has recently opened close to my Apartment. We went there last night for a celebration of the 40 years for the retirement of the Fabulous couple who has been the Supers in our apartment building. Many of us have been in the building as long as they have, The food was Delicious and cooked to perfection. The menu has a nice selection of Italian Appetizers, Pasta's and Main courses to choose from. Price range for Pasta is about $25-$30 and main courses can range from about $30-$60 per item which do come with a Vegetable. Other side dishes are $10 per item. The service was very attentive without us feeling rushed. The Ambience is upscale, with nice table cloths, Beautiful wallpaper, and the lighting was soft but it was still easy to read the menu. A nice wine selection ranged about $60 or above for a nice Italian wine. The pictures posted are of 3 of the Items which I and our Guest of honor selected to eat. First picture is the Seafood with Pasta , then the Short Ribs, and I ordered the Salmon in a Caper Butter sauce on a bed of Broccoli Rabe. You won't be disappointed, very much...
