The BEST cheese pizza I have ever had in my life! Prices are good and pizza is delicious 🍕 🍕 🍕 I literally came here three days straight while visiting New York! There was no need to try any other Pizza. The marinara sauce was piping hot. The crust was fresh and the pizza came out hot and fresh 🔥 🔥 🔥. This is authentic New York Style pizza! The house salad was so fresh and delicious! It has all my favorite ingredients (cucumber, olives, tomatoes, red onion, romaine, lettuce, carrots etc.) ! The house dressing and Caesar dressing is delicious! The customer service was great! The guys and the lady behind the counter are a whole vibe and super sweet! The people who run this spot are good honest people. I thought we lost a wallet and they were super helpful. I don't take it for granted how well this establishment treated me! I appreciate y'all!

I have only been ordering a large pie here for the past decade almost. I can’t speak for anything else on the menu but their pizzas are AMAZING! If you like the crust thin and crunchy with a lot of cheese, this pizza is for you. It HAS to be eaten on the spot. Traveling anywhere with the pie for more than 10 minutes results in soft, saggy dough. Due to the pandemic, price went up by $2 but I think the price is worth the price for the pie. It tastes good. They only accept cash though. No credit card. Also due to the pandemic, there is not outside seating available. They only have window service for pickup and order. My advice is to call in advance and order for pickup.

Unfortunately, as someone who has been a patron for well over a decade (along with half a dozen or more family members) the quality has increasingly degraded over the last several visits. Amore is notorious for being either excellent or sub par when you visit, entirely dependent on who makes the pie. I ordered Saturday evening at 8pm during the Yankees game 2 World Series and got the absolute worse undercooked soggy garbage I’ve ever had from this spot, that I once would boast of being one of the best in NYC. I’ll never order from here again, I may still grab a slice or dine in but I will NEVER order over the phone for a pick up again…

Amore Pizza: A Slice of Authentic New York in Queens

Tucked away in Queens, Amore Pizza is a true hidden gem for anyone in search of authentic New York-style pizza. From the moment you take your first bite, it’s clear this isn’t just another pizzeria—this is the real deal. The crust is everything a New York slice should be: perfectly thin, with a crispiness that crackles under the teeth, while avoiding the heaviness of doughy pies.

The sauce is simply outstanding—succulent and rich without being too sweet, striking a perfect balance that adds depth to every slice. It has just the right level of tang and a smooth consistency that complements the crisp crust underneath.

Then there’s the cheese: perfectly melted, with a gooey, stretchy texture that oozes with every bite. The blend of cheeses is spot-on, succulent and tasty yet firm with a creaminess and that pairs beautifully with the sauce. Each bite showcases the harmony between the sauce and cheese, making the pizza irresistibly delicious.

Cooked to absolute perfection, the pizza emerges from the oven with a golden-brown edge and an ideal texture from the first bite to the last. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this Queens institution offers a dining experience that reminds you why New York pizza is in a league of its own. If you’re craving a slice of the city’s finest, Amore Pizza should be...

Growing up just a few blocks away, Amore Pizza has always been more than a pizzeria to me—it’s a cherished part of my life story. From childhood to now, every bite of their pizza is like a time machine, taking me back to the days when I first discovered what truly great pizza should taste like.

Anytime I’m within a 10-mile radius, stopping at Amore isn’t just an option—it’s a mission. Whether I’m grabbing a couple of their iconic slices, which strike the perfect balance of crisp crust, rich sauce, and melty cheese, or indulging in my ultimate favorite, the heavenly Sicilian corner, this spot never disappoints.

Amore isn’t just serving pizza; they’re preserving a slice of Queens culture. The vibe is unapologetically old-school New York—a no-frills, cash-only joint where the focus is on making incredible pizza. And as if their legendary slices weren’t enough, they serve ice-cold beer to perfectly round out the experience.

Sure, the service can be a bit brusque at times, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. It’s all about the food, and trust me, the pizza more than makes up for any minor hiccups.

Amore Pizza is, without a doubt, the gold standard for pizza in the borough. If you’re looking for authentic, unforgettable pizza (and a cold beer to go with it) that embodies the spirit of...

If you prefer a sauce-heavy slice and thin crust like me, this is great, fast pizza! Ordering delivery was super easy and the pie got here lightning quick. The pizza is nice and big. I will say that this type of pizza isn't for everyone, but it's the kind of pizza I like. It satisfies my craving and fed four hungry young adults quickly.

I have only ordered delivery and not been to the location, so I can't say anything regarding that part of the experience. The guy on the phone (who I believe was also our deliverer) had that tart, Italian-New Yorker charm about him, haha. One word questions and answers and to-the-point. He made it easy! But there were no pleasantries and such. He didn't ask if we wanted plates, napkins, or chili flakes and didn't offer any toppings. We essentially knew nothing about the menu or other offerings. BUT that is just the type of place this is: fast, to-go pizza and that's what I expected. We didn't want plates or chili flakes, but just letting anyone who may want such things to ask for them on the phone voluntarily. Otherwise, you're getting what you get; a simple pizza pie.

Be warned: the menu is not easy to find online, but we were just ordering cheese anyway.

We paid $20 for the large cheese, including delivery.

Overall, I...
