ASAP Pizza Spot- Best pizza Astoria — Restaurant in New York

I wish I could give this place a 100 stars. Pizza was out of this world, fresh, beautiful crust and the sauce was just beautiful. Just tried the cheese slices but will definitely be back for more. The place was CLEAN. Restroom, Front area, everything. The guy at the counter was super nice. He was very sweet and greeted me with a smile, I just had 5 bucks on me since I left my wallet in my car. The total came out to $5.45 and I told him to let me go find change in my car or grab my debit card from my car. Without hesitating he said "you owe me 45 cents, have a nice day". I think sometimes when you interact with positive people it makes your day. Will definitely come back to spend more and to obviously return...

Ordered delivery and most of the cheese and toppings had slid off the pizza into the box. Not sure if the delivery guy was holding the box vertically when he first got it or what. We had to use a spatula to get all the cheese and toppings back on the pizza. Also, they need to add salt to their garlic knots because they don't taste like anything. Requested and got a refund from GrubHub.

Decided to give ASAP Pizza another chance and ordered the Detroit Style Pizza. No issue with the cheese and toppings this time but the bottom of the pizza was pretty much completely burnt. That's the last time we're ordering...

This pizza almost convinced me to impulsively move to New York. But it wasn't just about how fantastic the slices tasted-- it was the whole experience. My friend and I immediately felt like we were befriended by Nick, the owner, who would occasionally interrupt his conversation to wave to people in the neighborhood. We could tell he's a meaningful presence in his community. He gave us the best seats in the house and also threw in some zeppoles for free :) Besides that-- the pizza was incredible. Melted in our mouths. Will definitely come back next time...
