. This place was horrendously bad. First, they gave me the wrong order, even though I had very strict dietary restrictions, which they failed to follow. I told them upfront that if it was too much to accommodate, I had no problem leaving. I triple-checked with them to make sure my order would be safe for me to eat.

As I was eating, I started feeling strange, but I didn’t let it bother me because I had triple-checked with them and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Then, as I was enjoying my food, I suddenly felt a sharp, tingling sensation in my throat. I was having an allergic reaction. I felt my throat closing up and rushed to my car to get my EpiPen.

They literally could have killed me. If it weren’t for my quick thinking, I could have died—the ambulance had to be called. I ended up being okay, but it was a close call. I have saw this place so many times but have never got the chance to go inside until today! I went with my family and my twin sister and as you can see by the photos, the atmosphere is very modern, trendy and clean! The ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever had and I’m Not even kidding when I say that! I got to try the birthday cake, cookies and cream and the cookie dough and they are so fresh and delicious! The staff is also amazing! They are all so kind and look genuinely happy to work here and you can see how dedicated and hard working they all are! They even gave us these cute little mini Nutella jars 🤎 I recommend the Chocolate House Astoria to anyone who loves ice cream and just to anyone in general!!
