This would be a five star rating if it were based on the food. So, if you order take-out, this should be a five-star review. Otherwise, being physically here is awful. I waited about ten minutes from seating outside to even getting water. A few minutes later, I was offered food and refreshments. A few minutes after ordering my wine (half off, and a great deal at that), I was told the bottle was out of stock. No big deal, but the staff should be aware, especially on a Friday. Once my second choice was delivered (a delicious cab, which I do recommend as the food/drink here are still excellent), I had the unpleasant experience of having a lipstick stained wine glass. Not great. I have to admit, the food was delivered promptly and was delicious. I ordered the Forager and it was juicy, flavorful, and worth the money. The sweet potato fries were crisp yet fluffy, tempting you to believe they are bad and healthy for you at the same time. At the time of this writing, I have been sitting inside, with my card on the table for over a half an hour. I have not had a waiter check in with me at all. I was literally able to write this entire review without anyone offering to refill my glass, take my food away, offer me a check, or just check in. In summation, the food was excellent. The service was horrid. Order takeout if you do not want to be disappointed. EDIT: I brought this up to my waiter. I requested to speak to the manager multiple times, but he said that the manager was unavailable and instead comped my meal. I would like to come back because of how healthy and delicious the food was, but then I would have to deal with the (hopefully-improved) service. Take that with a grain of whole-wheat. I have updated my review (from 2 to 4 stars) to reflect the management’s response to the situation, which was handled professionally.

Bareburger is a cute spot I came in for a pickup order and desperately had to use the bathroom I went to the restroom first since that's a really nice about it something unique for the area. When I got back staff gave me it's ample time to look at the menu and ask questions based on the guy I talked to whose team trustworthy enough the portions are ample and the food is consistently good . After I ordered the chicken bites and fries ( bit pricey like everything on the menu but the quality was really good so I can't complain) the guy at the counter invited me to sit at the bar and even gave me a big pitcher with water and a cup. At first I thought maybe he sees how sweaty I am on this hot day and knew I needed it (as I drank the whole thing). But in talking to him he said that the heat was pretty unbearable and wished that everyone could get a nice pitcher and a glass. Cool guy and extremly friendly for a takeout order. What are the restaurant has a lot of indoor seating there are a few parks nearby or anyone can sit and eat in relative peace. Thinking about the meal I had on on that hot summer day is making me hungry. Do yourself a favor and stop at Bareburger its worth the price.

I have been to this location a few times but mostly recently I ordered lunch and did a pick up here. I ordered a Southern Chix Sandwich and Sweet Fries for pick up. Even though I placed my order for pickup almost an hour before picking up, it still wasn't ready. I went into the restaurant and it took almost 7 minutes before someone acknowledged me and I had to stop them and tell them I was there for pick up. The chicken sandwich was big and delicious. It was a bit burnt but I didn't mind. The thing that annoyed me and I forgot to take a photo of, is that the bun had a giant hole in it. Did someone pick up the pieces of mold from, did a rat chew off that piece? Like why would you give someone that piece of bread instead of just throwing it away? I ordered sweet fries and got regular fries. My coworker had ordered truffle fries and their order came out fine. If they ran out of sweet fries, they could have said something. So annoying! Communication is definitely important. The restaurant has ample seating area inside and outside. The outside seating area is by a public park. The restaurant does happy hour and lunch specials.

I order takeout from the Bareburger Village location. Usually I order through the website or in person. My order has been fulfilled without issue 1 out of 10 times. I always pay for extra sauce and never get it, once I received Impossible burgers instead of the grass-fed beef that I ordered. Another time I received an order of popcorn chicken with 1/3 of the chicken eaten! These are just two of many examples. I always get this food on the way home, and by the time I get in and see the errors I'm already in another borough and it would be too much to go back into the city. Still, I continued to patronize this location.

However, today was the last straw. My order was missing the sauce that I paid for, the usual, however the service/attitude today was extremely poor when I went to pick up my order. I stood around with no acknowledgement from the server at all. I had to eventually wave him down, and after giving him the name on my order, he just handed me the bag and walked off. No thank you or anything of the sort.

I've worked in Customer Service for over 20 years, and I know servers and kitchen staff go through a lot, so I've always been very empathetic and amicable in my dealings with restaurants. I've always been pleasant and have never given the servers a hard time, ever. Other than build a burger I've rarely had any mods when putting in an order. I've put up with the multiple wrong orders, I've bought food even during this location's "grade pending" with multiple health code violations(15+, I was there despite that), and even when I gave gratuity in person on pickup orders and never received a thank you, I still came back. However I cannot abide the severe lack of customer service or care. Mess up orders, it happens. Messed up orders and terrible customer...

This place feels neglected, outdoor dining area had a bunch of dirty tables, go inside and it's the same story, dirty tables, trash and food on the floor, sticky menus. On the way to the bathroom you can notice the bar is the same thing, disorganized and messy, staff's food behind it, rags on the counter. Then bathroom just shows the same neglect, like they check it once when opening and that's all, sticky floor, toilet paper on the floor, etc. Also, beware, bathroom is mixed gender which is great, except theres 2 stalls inside so if you have kids be advised that your kid might end up in the room with some random person when they go, specially since they allowed anyone, costumer or not, to use the bathroom, so DONT let them go alone. The biggest issue with how messy everything looks is the fact that the staff is there but they're deciding to simply disregard the state of their store, a little group just chatting and laughing while you gotta wave them to get their attention, at many points during our meal there was nobody on the floor at all, we had to steal napkins from the next table since they never brought some took forever to get more water. In general they feel disconnected and careless, either they're undertrained or undisciplined. Food is fine and that's why you come here, decent food for crazy cheap with the right deals, worth the wait, not the stay, this is not a place where you bring someone for the ambiance, definitely not the service. My advice, come here, get some cheap take...
