Barley Time — Restaurant in New York

DO NOT ORDER ANY OF THEIR MEAT PRODUCTS. 2 weeks go I went to get one of their items, the Orleans Chicken, (Chicken leg with bread surrounding it) and it was pretty disappointing, it looked good but the bread was stale and had no flavor to it, but I did not mind it since I had yet to try the chicken. As soon as I took a bite of the chicken, I tasted blood. I thought I had cut my mouth or something and quickly looked at myself on my phones camera and I wasn't, so I took a look at the chicken, and I saw the chicken was pink and raw and still had chicken BLOOD in it. I thought I may have been a bad day for them and decided it was a one time occurrence. I came back a week later and the same thing happened. Another week later, same thing. It was only this time that I finally took pictures and wrote a review, I know it was kinda of dumb of me to have bought it again but I decided to give them chances, I guess I was wrong every single time. So, I tried their other products, not only the meat products, and every single other bread item was stale, literally biting into plastic. You may think, oh it was probably because you left it out for too long, but I had it in the store and I ate it roughly 2 minutes after I picked it off the shelf. But that shouldn't happen considering that they have heated lights, right? Nope, the "heated lights" did not do a single thing, I even tested it and it wasn't even warm, it was room temperature, causing all the products to go stale around 2pm. None of this should be happening if they are a recognized bakery. Also, the item they advertise the most, the boba, is horrid, the boba tasted as if they cooked it for 2 minutes max and then couldn't wait any longer for cooked boba and put it in your drink.

DON'T go here . I placed a cake order for pickup, and when I went to pick it up at the scheduled time, I noticed that they did not even make the cake yet, despite the order being placed and a cake pickup time was scheduled.

When I went to confront them about this, the worker was not professional and simply agreed that yes, the cake was not made. That's it. There was no apology, no acknowledgement of the mistake on their part or for the inconvenience. This terrible service was absolutely unacceptable. They make it seem like the world revolves around them, simply from the absolutely terrible attitude from the worker. Makes me wonder how the workers are being trained there. Never coming here again.

And the cake. They spent the next few minutes making the cake while I continued to wait. The cream was tasteless, but what can you expect from a cake that was rushed at the last minute, right?

Don't come here, unless you want to waste your time and experience rude attitude from the worker, only to get a mediocre,...

I give this bakery 0 star. Number one worst bakery ever! Made the worst mistake ever to buy cake from this garbage bakery! Very bad service. You will only get ripped off if you buy there. Not only you won’t get what you paid for, but they will also ruin your day! Very bad service with terrible people working there! Ugly bad attitude like themselves. I specifically ordered a Cinderella matcha birthday cake and they gave me a plain tasteless cake with another doll. So I asked for only half refund back for their carelessness and not getting the right cake, but they were very unreasonable, made excuse said I ate their cake, so can’t refund half back. why I should have to pay for their carelessness. I should get what I paid for, if not should refund. Only when the cake is cut open to found out they made me wrong cake, so it was too late to go return. Owner and workers there are all very rude, unreasonable, careless. Even laughed when I asked for half refund back. Thinking it’s funny. And dared to yell at customer, blaming me for their carelessness. They don’t care to listen to customer orders carefully. They just randomly made a cake and randomly chose a doll and not made what I specifically asked and paid for. They even told me the guy who made the cake was inexperienced so made the mistake. Their cakes are overly priced but are cheaply made. The cream on the cake tasted nothing. Just threw away. The fruits are not that fresh. The cake is just plain. Mostly just lots of tasteless whipped cream, little bit of cake and not fresh fruit. Wasted my money buying there. Ruined my birthday as well giving me the wrong cheaply made cake that is not worth what I paid for. Other bakery stores make better same cake than theirs and are not as costly. They charge 3x as much for a regular plain cake you can buy everywhere else. Their business slow, that’s why they need to overcharge. Their bakeries doesn’t look that fresh. Don’t waste your money there. It’s not worth it. They only want to rob your money for their cheap cakes.
