Tried Blaze Pizza for the first time at this location because I heard from my coworkers that they loved Blaze. Ingredients were fresh, there was an extensive selection of toppings, and toppings were delicious. However, as great as the concept is, the cooking and execution was pretty messed up at this location. We had a party of 5, ordered 4 pizzas and a cheesy bread. The cooking of the pizzas was ad hoc and not done systematically with the result that the pizzas came out at varying degrees of doneness. The thick crust we ordered came out soggy and underdone. The cauliflower crust had burnt edges but still passable although we didn't eat the edges. The keto pizza was pulled out too early and fell apart (it looked soggy and underdone) and they had to remake it. They forgot about the remake and I watched as they pulled out several pizzas that were started after mine until I reminded them to check on it. When they finally pulled it out, the crust was completely cremated. By that point, the earlier pizzas were cold and my party was halfway done with their food (they couldn't wait any longer), so I ended up asking for a refund for the keto pizza. Thankfully my sister had ordered the cauliflower crust so I scarfed a couple of slices of the cold pizza.
The very same day after trying it out, I rated this location 2 stars. Manager/owner replied to my Google review and asked me to submit my comment on the company site so that they "can learn more and formally invite [me] to return." I thought well, okay. Let's see how they handle complaints and customer service. I really wanted to find a good build-your-own pizza place that offered a gluten-free crust, and wanted to give constructive feedback so the company could improve (and then I would have a new restaurant to eat at). I submitted a very thorough complaint on the company site and included additional details. No reply ever. Not even a thank you, we'll try to do better. This was a fail fail even with such a great concept and good ingredients. It was a fail on the cooking, and fail on customer service both at the store and...
Read moreMy experience was not a good one. My pizza was fine. the young adult who took my order was fine. The cashier was fine. All were respectful and courteous. While we were waiting for our pizza, i noticed a group of 3 young adults standing at a table waiting, and there were 2 young adults by the oven. one was taking it out and i think the other was cutting and calling out the names of the people who ordered it. When the person who took the pizza out of the oven, it appeared he read the paper and he called my name in a laughing/mocking fashion, then i hear the 3 young adults laughing and looking at the other 2 behind the counter, as i walked up to the counter, the person who had took it out of the oven, appeared to have curbed his laughter as he saw me come up. The cutter, didnt blink an eye and just cut my pizza and asked if i wanted any thing else on it. I said no and thanked him and sat down. I was going to leave it be, but When i saw the 3 leave, they all went into the back of the restaurant. thats when i realized they were employees. At least i hope they were. unless they were friends with an employee.
At that point i was shocked at the unprofessionalism of the employees. I worked in retail customer facing jobs before, and i have worked in customer service jobs in IT, never have i once made fun of someone's name. If they are not mature enough serve customers without laughing or mocking their names, then they really shouldnt be working. So all i have to say, is thank your stars i was not a secret shopper reporting this unprofesssionalism to corporate. Manager, you might want to review your video if you have any and see...
Read moreI came in on a Saturday and was just disappointed. Their was a long line, but we were able to place our order relatively quickly. I was excited about the healthier options, the menu boasts cauliflower and keto crusts, vegan cheese and soy chorizo. As we proceeded down the line we could not help but notice how dirty their food preparation area was. Food was everywhere and cross contamination was rampant. The staff although wearing gloves were dipping from container to container etc and dragging food scraps with them. The floor was covered in debris as well. We also could not help but observing that it seemed the place was being run by children. No one seemed to know what they were doing and it was apparent piess here are not crafted, but instead thrown together with no finesse or attention to detail. We opted to do one pie with cauliflower crust, vegan cheese and soy chorizo. They put about a teaspoon of the chorizo on the pie and the cheese was just as sparse. Our second pie was keto crust with one of their suggested styles. The crusts were decent although the keto was a tad mushy. But the topping were sub par. The vegan cheese tasted like a horrible slime in your mouth and the soy chorizo just disappeared on the pie. The chicken on the other pie tasted like it came from a can, or it was steamed in a bag. It was gross and had no grilled flavor whatsoever. Sauces on the pies were one note and were just canned sauce with zero love added. I will say that the traditional crust looked good. But we didnt taste it. I don't think we will be back and the health department should probably pay them a visit before they get...
