Had an experience tonight with a manager Jordan hardware or hardway or something along those lines cause he wouldn't repeat his name once I said I was gonna put a cooperate complaint about him& he ran to the back office after. So what happened is A fellow regular complained to him that I didn’t wanna entertain his magic trick& I was supposedly being rude for doing so, When really out the two he was showing the trick to, I was the only one paying attention& giving him honest time. He said That I was being apparently disrespectful for not paying attention. Idiot manager walks over to me all cocked eye asking me what’s going on? To which I’m confused and I reply , what do you mean? He repeats himself& I repeat myself, but this time adding your the one looking at me all cocked eyed, what’s going on? Mind you he hasn’t even announced he’s a manager of hooters trying to resolve a problem just comes& pressed me. He says his reg saying I’m doing being rude, which the two guest that I’ve never met in my life tell the manager no that’s not what’s happening, the guys bugging because we didn’t pay attention to his magic trick. Manager Jordan still doesn’t like that I’m asking him why he’s bothering me and deems I’m too drunk for service and tell the bartender to cut me off(I’ve only had 3 tall boys at the point over 2 hours ) People surrounding him are telling him you’re wrong, the other guy is bugging out what are u doing ? Manager Jordan’s ego can’t be told no he’s wrong so he continues& cuts me off when all I’m doing is sitting at the bar relax having a good time. Around 6:50pm should be the time of altercation occurred maybe a little before but if you look at the cameras you’ll see me calm in my seat before manager Jordan approached me with his BS& instead of understanding the situation& listening to two sides he ran with what the first guy said and didn’t like my asking why he was approaching me so hostile so he continues to cut me off. After 7:20 you can see me approach him and tell him ima report him to cooperate where he lies and says I never kicked you out or sided with the guest. To which I replied u did cause you obviously cut me off when I’m not even visibly drunk and still coherent. Managers Jordan approach was not only wrong but flawed and biased and made me feel like it was a race thing, listening to the white man over the Hispanic man with the truth with two people at the bar explaining to the manager( let alone they’re regulars to ) that I’m in the right& the dude sending him a complaint is simply upset because me& the man next me were not taking him serious and his ego wouldn’t allow him to see the picture because I asked him y so hostile. Instead of defusing, manager Jordan sided with him instantly& deemed us wrong without investigating proper.
I repeat again, the two guest next to me explained& pleaded with manager Jordan that the other dude was in the wrong and he was SImply upset we didn’t entertain his magic trick. But it was to late manager Jordan’s ego was already hurt& he made his decision based off on who hurt his ego as a “ boss”& didn’t follow appropriate steps in the industry to dissolve& solve a situation at the restaurant between two guest, simply cause I hurt his ego when I asked are you okay? I’ve been coming here for 14 years and this the first time some little ego driven manager driven me out the bar because his ego was hurt for saying your wrong take a look again at the scenario. U can also see on video both people next to me telling him the other dude was wrong . What u can see is the same dude that told the manager to kick me out, wanted to fight outside& kept trying to drag me out. I just didn’t wanna get sued after so I denied the invitation by the Karen. & I would like to add the manager Jordan never announced he was a manager trying to figure out what was going on so I was in my right to ask him who are u. Took a photo of him as best as I could so there’s is...
Read moreThe email I sent to corporate: I placed an order at the Hooters location situated in Queens, NY. I ordered 10 traditional wings and waffle fries. I arrived about 30 mins after ordering and I had to wait an additional 35 mins. Upon arrival I was not greeted, eventually after some time I flagged down a waitress. I then paid and waited for my food.
It seemed to be an issue getting basic condiments like ketchup, as the lady had an attitude when I requested some for the fries. I departed the restaurant with the food and returned to my hotel. I used to live in NYC, but moved to Dallas, TX September 2021. I was in NYC this week for a family event and I decided to visit all of my favorite food places that I would frequent when I lived in NYC.
Upon getting to the hotel, I opened my food and was very disappointed to find that my wings were not only mostly dry lacking sauce, but that they had given me all drums. This was a huge disappointment as I love flats and I usually get a mix of drums and flats. I spent $25 for my meal and that was a disappointment. I called the restaurant and after being on hold for a while I explained the situation. The lady who initially answered the phone apologized and stated she would get the manager to see what could be done.
When the manager came to the phone she identified herself as Alicia White. I explained to her that I was very disappointed that I got all drums and also that my wings hardly had any sauce. Ms. White was very rude and short, and stated “whatever they drop they drop”. I was a bit confused and inquired for clarification and she stated that whatever chicken they cook is what they give. I then explained that I am a long time Hooters customer and typically I get a mix of drums and flats, even if it is not an even mix. She said we can give you whatever we want. She also stated that many people have been requesting all flats which is why they gave me all drums. As a customer, it is not my problem that the restaurant fulfilled too many “all flats” orders. At any restaurant you go to, when you order wings it is generally a mix. I should not have to suffer for Hooters giving out too many “all flats” orders.
Also, if it were a situation where all you have is drums advise customers when ordering so the consumer has the option to continue the order or not (which I honestly do not believe that they did not have flats because Ms. White told me I could have paid extra for all flats, but I advised her I did not request all flats because I DO NOT MIND A MIX) which further confirms the flats were available so they honestly could have mixed them.
I was shocked to know this is the manager. A manger is a representation of the company. Her entire attitude was bad enough for me to request the information for corporate and this is the email address she provided. I am a Supervisor so I am used to dealing with both staff and clients. That’s a situation I would have handled differently. For one I would have asked the customer to return to attempt to rectify the situation.
As a manager, there should have been a different response, even if she was not going to offer me to come get more sauce or bring the wings back to that I could get some of the drums removed for a few flats. Based on this experience I will never visit this location again. Customer service...
Read moreThis place has gone downhill. Iv been coming here since the opened (twice). They opened when future diner closed down. Then, For whatever reason, they closed down where another establishment opened. That one closed and then hooters reopened. Needless to say, the place is not clean at all. The tables appear to have grease stains. The bathrooms are real nasty where there’s pee on the floor and is sticky. So goes the saying, you can tell a lot from a restaurant based on the sanitary conditions of the bathrooms and I can tell you first hand that it doesn’t get cleaned as often as it should. The food had this weird taste as if the oil used to fry it hasent been changed in a while. The fountain soda also had a hint of this weird taste. They may be better off selling cans as opposed to fountain as I doubt it gets cleaned as instructed. The service wasn’t what it used to be. The waitresses used to chill and talk to you but now they just come and take your order. The next time you see them is when they bring the food. The 3rd is when they give you the check. I asked for an extra sauce and I had to ask twice in the span of 15 min before I got it. Luckily I didn’t need a soda refill. Maybe they are short staffed? I dunno but the service was a 2 out of 10. Been going there since day 1 but I do t think I would return until they step it up and possibly renovate with new tables/chairs as the decor has been the same since they first opened after the diner closed down. Some of the TV’s no longer work properly. No wonder. As upon inspection, you can see grease on the backside. This hooters has been neglected and is faaaaarrrrrr overdue for a major renovation. They are lucky because the area they are in is heavily populated which is the most probable reason why they are still in business but I can assure you that if this place doesn’t step it up… People like myself who have been going there for over a decade will cease to patronize this establishment. As much I love going there for the vibe (which no longer exists), I can’t justify myself putting my health at risk due to...
