I stopped by Blazin Chicken & Gyro after hearing a few friends rave about it, and I’m really glad I gave it a try. Located in a convenient spot with plenty of parking, the restaurant has a casual, no-frills vibe—perfect for grabbing a quick lunch or late-night bite.

I ordered the Chicken over Rice Combo, and it completely hit the spot. The chicken was well-seasoned and tender, with that perfect charred flavor you want from a grill. The rice was fluffy and buttery, and the white sauce brought everything together with a creamy tang. I also tried a side of their spicy fries, and they were crispy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat.

The real standout, though, was the gyro wrap. Packed with juicy lamb meat, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and drenched in both white and hot sauce, it was messy, delicious, and totally satisfying. It’s clear they don’t skimp on portion sizes—you definitely get your money’s worth here.

The service and atmosphere were good, the employees were very nice and welcoming. The food was not good, the chicken over rice platter with fries was okay, the chicken was tasteless, but also tasted of old chicken. ——— Hamza and Medina food cart just around the corner on 83-46 225th St is way better, probably the best chicken over rice place there is. Halal munchies around the corner is also way better. ——— The fries had good taste, but very soggy, absolute no crisp to them. I got their extra white sauce and blazin sauce on top of my platter, no flavor to anything. Very disappointed as I thought it would be my new go to place, but will definitely not come here ever again, I even tried the corn nuggets, which are my favorite at any place, they just tasted like nothing...
