Brasier Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in New York

I attended with my family for my cousin's birthday. As we walked in, we are required to check-in our coats. The girl conducting the coat check did not have change and asked us for change. We didn't have so she went to the bar to get change. As we proceed to giver her our coats, she runs out of change again. She goes to the bar and returns just to say the bar didn't have either but when she gets change she will find us and give it to us. That should have been our red flag. We walk in. It's about 11:30pm and they are still setting up. No one attends to us. After standing for a while, I am assuming the gentlemen was a manger finally approaches us. We told him the name of the reservation, He gave us a hard time at first but finally found it due to the fact that they misspelled her name. He tells us to sit anywhere as they are still prepping. When we sit, he asks us if we would like to stay where we are, which comfortably accommodates about 5 people. we were a party of 10. We ask for different seating as we were expecting more people. He takes to another small corner. Point being: POOR ORGANIZATION, MORE SECURITY THAN PEOPLE. THIS SPOT IS FOR OLD HEADS RECOMMEND IT TO YOUR PARENTS...

I had a negative experience this past Saturday at Brasier , Not to mention it was my first time going there ,Although I am very familiar with the area . As a sales professional I try my best to provide excellent customer service and do exceptional business. I came to brasier based upon the reputation of it being a fun /new popular place due to all the closings . There was a promotion on there instagram account for a premium bottle for package. We all rushed to make it to the location on time so that we can get the deal , we showed our waitress that we were on time and that the special was on there page , she was very persistent on us paying more than what we saw , she would not honor the deal and I was told that the manager was unavailable to speak with me . In other words pay the new price or lose out on our couch area , after paying 30 dollars to enter the club for me and 3 of my guest it would have been a waste of time and money to turn around. This was my first time at this place, and it was actually quite pleasant inside. The decor and ambiance were quite classy and clean. I made reservations beforehand but it wasn’t necessary as It was empty when we arrived, just as they had opened. I’m not sure if you need one later on at night. The music was okay, depending on your preference for genre. I had hoped for a wider variety of music, including merengue, salsa, bachata, dembow, reggaeton, hip-hop, and R&B, but it was mostly salsa, merengue, and bachata, which is fine if that’s your preference.

The food was delicious! We ordered from their brunch menu. I had the churrasco with eggs and asparagus, which was tasty. The mimosas were also delicious, and the server kept them coming. The unlimited brunch lasted exactly two hours. We stayed a bit longer and ordered a pitcher of coconut margarita, which was also great. The hookah was $40 initially and $25 for each refill. The hookah was also great! Not harsh and lasted a long time.
