Briarwood Cafe — Restaurant in New York

First off let me say compliments to the Chef because the Food was delicious. Service wasn’t so friendly though. Waiter was focused on sitting at another table talking to someone and when I asked her for something she has an attitude on her face and in her tone. I was with my child who made a mess with his pancakes and syrup and needed napkins for both of us. Don’t you know she gave us 2 single napkins ? Is she serious ?? Also My sandwich was made incorrectly due to her not taking the correct order (without the pork bacon and was missing the cheese as well). She basically rushed me while I ordered so she can get back to table and finish talking to whomever and didn’t write down the correct order. this is what she give me. Broken tiny pieces of cheese for a club sandwich that should be melted. I refused to leave a tip for that kind of service. I just killed it with kindness paid and left. People like that shouldn’t serve if they don’t treat everyone equally. I am actually a great tipper. I Felt like somebody’s child that day. Probably won’t...

well this is awkward, i went there abour 3:35 in the afternoon on a saturday. As we walked in i pointed out to my wife that they close at 5 (which it said on their operating hours on the door) and we had about a solid hour. the minute we sat down (it was self seating), a lady who looked like she was the owner came over and said "Are you guys ready we close in about 15 min" and my wife looked at her weird..then she started stammering.."oo m..in about 30 min.what time is it now?"..3:40..."ooh yes do you guys know what u want". we immediately walked out. im not gonna even bring up the fact that we didnt share the same skin color. anyways we went right across the street to flagshipand had a lonely late lunch....

Don’t go here. Unfortunately I had to tell some of the people I work with not to eat there. At first glad it looks like a decent place but when you get down to the nitty gritty it’s a whole nightmare. I had sat at the counter and as watching the cook make the food not once did he use gloves not to mention he was just touching everything. At one point he had used the knife to scrape something off the counter and just wiped it off like it was nothing. When he was cracking egg one of the eggs broke on the counter and he just pick the shells out and scooped it into the bowl. Food poisoning is creeping in this place.
