First of all it's still free and a fun activity for families or friends to cool down! Good potential, but a bit grumpy helpers. Awesome view to downtown but be aware that you can't leave the small area around the pier. Also they had a reservation website for the queue, which you should visit then you arrive there, but there is no functional wifi around (if you don't have mobile internet). Waiting times changes strongly, depends on how long the other guests are on the water.

Definitely recommend the place. It is completely free too because of the helpful volunteers. Had a good time today kayaking! Book online a week in advance as the spots go real quick. If you're lucky, you may get a spot if you walk in and someone cancelled. Would be going back with a friend eventually. Donate if you can!

Shipping company didn't call when they canceled scheduled delivery. Once delivered it was not the kayak we ordered. Promises of free accessories and delivery of correct kayak were provided. 2 months later with wrong kayak taking up space in my garage, their promises haven't come through. They wont even credit me and come get their kayak. They are making me wait month after month until they have the correct kayak available. Summer is almost over and still no Kayak. Horrible experience. Look elsewhere. No option provided...

Spent an hour and a half waiting in line in 100° weather and beaming sun just to be told that Sundays are ONLY adults with children. The staff signed us up knowing it was only 2 adults and after we had our life jackets on told us we couldn't get in the kayak. There were empty kayaks and no one else in line, and they still refused to allow us on the water. What a waste of our time. Such a disappointment. EDUCATE YOUR VOLUNTEERS TO NOTIFY PEOPLE WHILE...
