I was actually looking at NYC water taxi routes and stumbled upon this beautiful outdoor space (note: from Manhattan, highly recommend walking the Brooklyn Bridge to get here and then taking the water taxi back to Manhattan). Whether you’re with family, friends, or by yourself — there’s tons to do. By the water there’s a nice lawn area to lounge, sunbathe, or run around. There are (3) large covered sections: one of the sides holds a roller/ ice skating rink (depending on season) and pickleball courts, the other side has an entire row of swings, and the center holds a plethora of basketball courts that also spill out to an open/ uncovered area with more courts (a baller/ hooper’s dream). This pier #2 is mostly made for sports like basketball, pickles all, skating rink, etc etc. There are some benches by the pier's end and a binocular for closer look at Manhattan!
