Buck-it Sports Bar & Latin Grill — Restaurant in New York

Its a hole in the wall with basic- sub par food. The wings tastes burnt, as if it was all cooked on the same grill, without being cleaned, and they are fried plain. the only thing that makes them have any flavor or taste was the sauce they give you on the side. Which they only have 2 flavors. If your a health concious person this place aint it. The burgers were literally just a plain unseasoned patty and hawiann rolls. No sauces, mayo, nothing! and just had that nasty burnt flavor stuck to my food. This place is frequented by the lonesome drunks of the neighborhood who claim “they are performing” at the buck it. I was invited by someone and when i saw what they meant by performing. I laughed. I thought it was a live band. I came here on my bday to have a quick meal with a friend just something simple and when I say I was pleasantly surprised I was so happy the food was amazing I could have sworn I was in PR sitting in my grandmother kitchen eating her food. I’ve been to many places that serve “pr food” and I’ve never been satisfied but this lil place absolutely did that for me. I had the arroz con gandules and pernil tostones on the side and it was EVERYTHING!!!! I had the pleasure of meeting the chef herself and she was a beautiful person so pleasant and hospitable I will be returning since I live in the area I’ll be here more then I should the girl behind the bar was also a pleasure super sweet and so pretty. Safe to say I love this place...

The wait staff was phenomenal so of course we tipped well, but the management seemed to want to tank the business. The dough in the empanadas was super sour to the point where it was fizzy and tasted like they had been sitting out all day. It was filled with American cheese that also tasted off. When we told the manager about it, he said “well people have been eating these all day” which of course we believe because the place is on the beach and if you’re vegetarian you have no other option on the menu. Instead of just comping the one item that they clearly messed up, the manager doubled down as “proud of the food quality.” I guess his bros were watching and he needed to play it...
