TaoXi Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in New York

We tried the shrimp lo mein and the beef with broccoli with white rice—both dishes were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The spicy crunchy shrimp roll was a standout, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat.

For dessert, we splurged on the red velvet cake (yes, it’s $15), but it felt worth it—it was moist, rich, and clearly made fresh.

The only slightly odd thing was the ordering process. TAOXI uses a device at the table for placing orders, and while a helpful staff member kindly guided us through it (we were a bit technically challenged after a long moving day), we eventually got the hang of it and even used it to order dessert.

Service was warm and attentive, and the environment was relaxed and welcoming. We’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more...

Absolutely stunning place although the staff and food wasn’t. The Lo mein i received was cold and not the greatest flavor. The sushi was ok at best. Not the greatest quality compare to all the other places in sheepshead bay. I was waiting for quite some time on refills on water and realized there was only one waiter while 2 other staffs just sat around doing absolutely nothing. Seemed off to me how there’s 3 waiters but only one of them truly working and putting in the work. Wasn’t the worse experience due to that same waiter making sure i was okay even though she was busy! Yesterday, my family and I tried sushi and some Asian dishes. The food was really delicious and authentic. I especially loved the General Tso’s chicken, which was recommended by our server, May (I’m pretty sure that was her name). As a picky eater, I was explaining my preferences to my family, and they had already given up on me—but May was so patient. She explained the dishes in detail and helped me choose the perfect one.
