Server overcharged us he did not explain the price information. When we complained about this, server admitted that he did not provide the price, but the manager was not willing to correct the bill. They are such thieves!! Never be back again
RESPONSE:
Thank you for your response.
The problem here is that we were not advised on the price information whatsoever by the server, not the quality of the food. He suggested the Branzino for us and on the menu Branzino was $37. We understand it was the Wild Branzino now, however at the time we ordered, we were under the impression that it was Branzino. He did not mention what we were ordering was market price nor mentioned the price itself. The server also admitted himself that it was his fault that he did not give out that information when we were discussing this at the restaurant which was the main problem and reason for this review. Had we known the price ($90, big difference!), we would not have ordered it, or had we known that it was MP, we would have inquired the price.
Looking at this in a customer perspective, the customer has the right to know the price for what they are ordering. Even if they do not ask for it, if the cost of the order is not listed on the menu, the customer must be warned and acknowledged about the pricing first by the server. The customer might miss it, not realize it, or such. The bill should not be the first place that they are seeing this after they eat. If they are not made aware and just let go with it, then it leads to an unfortunate, sad situation like this both for the restaurant and the customer. Moreover, quite honestly, this seems as somewhat of an unethical practice for a restaurant, unfortunately. Even in some chain restaurants, if an item in a dish is just $1 extra and it says it on the menu, employees still warn the customer of the situation, so just an example…
Therefore, maybe the servers could use a little training to prevent this from happening at a high quality and reputable restaurant that has been around...
Read moreGenerally it’s very nice restaurant. Food was very good. However I have four small complaints. These complaints are to the restaurant management: I paid my bill and gave a tip. However a waiter ran after me asking why I didn’t give a tip. I explained him that he is mistaken. Right away he agreed. Everything was fine. The problem I see that a tip is my choice. If I like service I will give a tip, if I don’t like I will not give it. And it’s not nice a restaurant to ask a customer and demand a tip. I think it’s very bad. All the time we were eating and group of waiters were standing near our table. They were not waiters that served our table. It looked like they didn’t have a place for a brake or to wait for other customers and they were just standing in the eating area and socializing, talking and laughing. It was not very comfortable. When one of the waiter was preparing a fish for my wife (cleaning from bones), four other waiters, who didn’t have anything to do, gathered around the plate with a fish and were discussing the process. I did not want to make a scene, but it looked disturbing and discussing, when they were leaning over the dish, talking over and their saliva could get in the food. All table had nice white clothes. And probably it should show the high class of the restaurant. However the restaurant covered nice cloth with a plain paper like in cheap restaurant. The paper didn’t look nice. Maybe they were thinking that kids could draw on the paper, but I didn’t see any crayons or pencils. I think that paper reduce level of...
Read moreI was disgusted by my experience at this restaurant at 3pm on a Saturday. The staff embarrassed myself and my party by refusing to seat us in the outdoor section, even though there were plenty of seats. After complying with sitting inside, even after requesting outside, one member of our party (my boyfriend, a black man who has given Liman’s a good bit of business in the past and recommended we take his father there after a day of deep sea fishing ) walked to the back just to look, only to learn that there were plenty of open tables. The hostess followed us back there, interrupting with a very abrupt “excuse me!” and continued to reprimand us for looking. We were frustrated so we went inside to collect our third member (my boyfriend’s father) for we didn’t feel comfortable in the restaurant. As we walked out, the hostess informed us she “spoke with her manager and there was an opening.” We didn’t want to spend our money there after this blatant act of racism so we left.
If your business or practices for seating/serving are inherently racist, classist, or prejudice, then that is something you should proudly advertise, instead of leaving your customers surprised when they encounter those values in your establishment. It should be up to patrons to decide if they support that way of thinking before entering and being harmed by...
