So let me start by saying this was one of the absolute worst service experiences I have ever had. My husband and I ate here while visiting new York and the location seemed super convenient. When we first walked in the lady behind the counter was yelling at the the only other table there to get there attention and ask them questions that she should have asked prior to them sitting down. As my husband and I were looking at the menu to decide what to get the lady behind the counter (blonde with an English/ British accent) was trying to rush our order out of us. I ordered the Chicken Gyro as well as a small Greek salad and my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and let me say the only thing that was edible were probably my husbands French fries. My husband ordered his burger medium and received a completely overdone well burger, he even asked her prior to ordering if they cook them a specific way or if he could get his medium and she said that they could cook his to medium. When I received my food my salad consisted of shredded iceberg , some diced tomato's and feta and 3 olives and what I was assuming was supposed to be Greek dressing but it was very bland, oh yeah and some short black hair. But being in the service industry myself I quickly removed the hair and the food it had touched and took a couple bites before deciding I just wasn't going to eat it. I'm usually a very understanding guest especially with the times that we are in right now, however when I bit into my chicken gyro and saw the over cooked, and very grey chicken, I couldn't bring myself to eat it and just move on from this situation. I went up to the lady behind the desk and showed her the chicken and explained that it was very grey and over cooked and when it's grey it typically means the chicken was bad prior to cooking and I didn't want anything out of this other than to let them know so they could temp and check there chicken. the lady then proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and the chicken was totally fine, they had cooked it the day before, and that she's sorry I didn't like it all while the cook who made it looked at it and was nodding in agreeance with me. So she told me that they serve DAY OLD chicken. Clearly not caring about the product they serve or quality of it by any means. My husband was chef for many years we know what chicken is supposed to like. So my husband decided to take a picture of it, and as he is taking a picture the lady starts yelling at us, repeating that nothings wrong with the chicken and maybe I just didn't like it, there's no reason for us to take pictures, and I asked her if she was really going to argue with me over something that's right in front of my eyes and yell at my husband. I wasn't even asking for a refund, just letting them know so they wouldn't give someone food poisoning. All the while she never even went back to check the chicken. Not to mention she was yelling at us in front of other guests, when we never even raised our voices at her. This was an absolutely horrific experiences and horrible customer service, definitely don't eat here and...

I wanted to enjoy one last meal before leaving NYC and decided to give Burger Man a shot. I would have been better off going to McDonald's.
The food is overpriced. I imagine a lot is in NYC, but the food at Burger Man is not fresh. Everything sits out in the open where the workers breathe and work all day, and the meat is also pre-cooked (reheated upon order).
Despite all this, I made the mistake of giving the place a shot. I ordered a simple bacon burger and asked for only bacon, meat, and cheese.
The cook got my order wrong right. but the burger assembler put my order on top of a pre-assembled order he was already working on. It came with items that were not listed in the meal description. When it was given to me, I brought this up and everyone behind the counter asked what was missing, and I mentioned cheese, since the assembler merged my order with a wrong one.
My order was snatched from my hand and cheese was added on top. I was handed the meal back. I tried again to point out that my meal was mixed up with someone else's.
The assembler told me "it's easier to walk away". I didn't understand what he meant, so I repeated my complaint. This time he said "no one is perfect. What do you want me to do about your order?" I asked if he could remake it correctly this time.
Who I assume is the manager stepped in and told me the order was correct, because it came with everything in the description. I pointed out the description didn't have pickles, onions, mustard, ketchup, etc, despite other meals clearly saying it when the meal came with it. I was told all meals come with it and that the descriptions aren't accurate.
I tried eating it after that because it was clear I wasn't getting my order corrected or my money back.
It tasted horrible. It was definitely left out all day, everything about it. This place is horrible and you'll be met with disappointment. No wonder every other resturaunt nearby is lined up around the block and this one had no one in line...
Read moreEverything looked good but really fell short for me. My husband and I stopped in, I got a burger and he got a chicken sandwich. The person at the register was loudly speaking with someone about her Chase bank account upon arrival (and turned into our entire visit). We weren't sure who to order from but luckily there were kiosks where you could look and order for yourself.
It's really just glorified fast frozen food, and it definitely tastes like it. The burger didn't have a lot of flavor, I just got a hamburger, lettuce/tomato/onion, no cheese. The bun was dry, it just wasn't good. The chicken sandwich was the same. There was nothing stand out about it, reminds me of the boxed sandwiches you can get at the dollar stores to heat in the microwave. The fries were subpar.
The space itself is filthy, disgustingly so. Food wrappers everywhere from patrons not picking up after themselves, trash overflowing, tables dirty. Thankfully I had my own wet wipes with me and was able to clean up some. In looking at the condiment bottles they were caked up with product, so who knows how long they've been like that.
When our order was called, they yelled out what we got- not our order number or name. Thankfully everyone else had already sat and got their food, or I'm not sure I'd have realized it was ours. When the people behind the counter went to give me the food, they placed me in an awkward position to reach over the top of someone eating.
I'd skip this place for sure. It's gross in...
