Ordered a baby shower custom cake for my daughter 2 weeks in advance texted an exact Image of how i wanted the cake to look they said they can do it i paid 2 weeks in advance in full. A few days before the event i texted and the lady said she would go in and see if the cake was going to be done so idk if they forgot and she went in to remind them or if they made it two weeks ago when i paid for it because it taste dry and like freezer not to mention the cake started melting immediately the decorations on it started slipping and falling off My husband and my father went to pick up the cake and bring it to the venue and when i saw the cake i was upset the color wasn't the color i wanted i requested a 2 tier cake the cake I received was 2 round cakes stacked on tops of each other. The top layer was vanilla and the bottom was chocolate. It was melting and we had to start cutting the cake before we had a huge mess on the cake table so everyone had cake while eating food and most of it went to waste.i was so upset you would have thought it was ice cream cake When we cut into it and shared it out i wanted to try a piece of both the vanilla was dry and had no flavor whatsoever and the chocolate was also so dry the chocolate truffle inside taste frozen it was a disaster luckily I made mason jar cakes and all her treats were made by me. It was either they made it last minute or had it sitting in the freezer for 2 weeks. The staff were really nice but I won’t be ordering another custom cake from them.I haven’t tried or tasted anything else from the bakery so I can’t speak for the other cakes, pastries etc.
In the photos i am posting the first image is what i wanted the 2nd photo is what I got as you can see the cake is melting the indent on the front just the cake made in general was poorly made. The decorations were cute i just wish the cake was made how i wanted especially for the...
Read moreI am not sure why I have given this place so many chances, but today I have finally had enough. I stopped to get an iced latte and picked up a blueberry muffin to snack on. Luckily, this barista knew how to make a latte, unlike the times they poured me a cup of milk and gace me two shots of coffee instead of espresso.
I got home, unpacked ny muffin, and started to enjoy it. It wasn't the best muffin in the world, but I haven't had a muffin in a while so I was really letting myself go with this. I unwrapped the whole bottom of the muffin, ripping it into pieces for me to pick at, and in the corner of my eye I saw something move. I didn't think much about it at first, because I know how brains and vision work, but a few seconds later I decided to cautiously pick up a peice of the muffin. I was HORRIFIED. I swear to god, I have never had a food scare like this before. There was full grown, living, moving, wiggling MEAL WORM IN MY MUFFIN. It was literally scrunching itself out of a chunk of muffin still attached to the wrapper. I literally want to throw myself into one of those machines where they cut trees into little chips. This is not a life worth living anymore and I need to find a therapist to recover. I would also love to call them and tell them, but their phone goes straight to a full voicemail box. Lovely.
Please, spare yourself and just stay away. There are way too many coffee shops and bakeries around to do this...
Read moreI really want to completely love this place. I live nearby and it smells so amazing everytime I walk by! Unfortunately, the employees admitted to me that they keep their bakery items in there for days and that they’re not fresh. I got one of the pies anyway because they looked delicious and realized it was stale and inedible. I think the employee was low key trying to do me a favor. I always want to go here thinking it’s going to be amazing, and I love their croissant breakfast sandwich with brie, but my mind keeps going back to the time they told me they were selling me stale goods. The empanada was not cool either, that filling was a joke. I want to still go here because it’s supporting small businesses in the neighborhood and some of their pastries are really yummy, but I’m just weary of it now. I didn’t wanna write this review even, but since I think about it almost every day since I live nearby and pass it all the time, figured I should let people know.
I gave this three stars because I didn’t want to hurt the business since some of their items seem ok until I read other bad reviews and the owner responding saying that they change their pastries daily when the employee specifically told me they don’t. Blatantly lying. There’s also another one of someone finding a worm in their muffin… ugh. Not sure if this...
