To whom it may concern,
Yesterday I went to speak with a Ms. Norma Kanty in reference to a parking spot. When I arrived to fill out the paperwork all of it was outdated and contained discrepancies on the price which she had told me over text was $135 and on the paperwork I was signing it stated a monthly rate of $125. When I asked for clarification on the price she proceeded to be rude and tell me that if I had a problem I should tell her now. I was not the one with the problem it was her who failed to correct any mistakes in her paperwork and to clarify the price. She also proceeded to tell me how there will be no other parking in the city for the price that the church was charging, these two comments I felt were completely unwarranted and unnecessary. I was simply asking for a clarification on the price and there was no need to snap back with the two comments as rudely as she did. All that was needed was a simple "I’m sorry these documents are old the price that we discussed over text would be the new monthly rate". My second and most important problem was the math that she did to figure out the pro rate for the days of the month that I did not use the parking space for. She found that the daily rate would have been $4.50 and she was supposed to deduct the amount that would have been paid from June 1st to the 12th as yesterday was the 13th. The actual rate I was supposed to pay her was $81 instead she proceeded to charge me $120, as I was leaving I noticed her mistake i returned in order to discuss and receive my money that I had overpaid. When I spoke to her on the phone she gave me excuses that she did the math in her head and was very rude when it came to understanding and accepting her mistake, she proceeded again to tell me that her parking was cheap and that I would not find another like it in the city, again this unwarranted comment. On the phone she was very rude not letting me talk and interrupting me after I proved her math to be wrong, she proceeded to tell me that I was making a big deal about nothing and told me to return her key. I don’t find my complaint about the overcharging of almost $40 to be nothing. In essence she refused to accept her mistake and refused to act as a mature adult and return the overpaid amount. Instead her solution was to just throw us out completely and not even apologize for what she did, in my opinion she handled the situation completely wrong. Then after hanging up on me abruptly she proceeded to not come out herself to return the cash but instead sent the janitor to return my cash and receive the key. How does one have so much courage to act rudely on the phone and to treat a customer with such little regard to etiquette then not have the slightest decency to come out and finish a business transaction that she herself spoiled.
