Food: I’ve only ever eaten the pizza and the garlic knots, but I have to say both are very good. However, there can be a little bit of inconsistency with the slices from week to week; for example, the two regular slices I ordered tonight were thin and much greasier than normal. Regardless, the food has been great probably 9/10 times.
Service: The staff aren’t very attentive or friendly. The Albanian cashier (he might be the manager, I’m not sure) randomly started talking to me about how hot my sister is (“She’s the hottest girl in Sheepshead Bay.”). I thought it was very inappropriate of him to say, but some of the other staff was laughing along, so I figured I’d try to let it go and play along. I jokingly flipped my hair and replied, “Besides me!”, and instead of laughing or even staying silent, his smile dropped and he said, “No, not you.” I was giving him the benefit of the doubt for having an inappropriate conversation with me about my sister, telling myself “boys will be boys,” but then he had to go and insult me. It was a childish encounter and I don’t believe he has the maturity to work a job like his.
Atmosphere: The music is at a good volume, and the back area is very, very spacious. You will always find somewhere to sit, whether to dine in or wait for your order. However, the one negative I see in terms of the environment is that the bathroom could be cleaner. It is a restaurant, after all — bad hygiene has no business in a place where people eat.
Price: The prices are neither here nor there. I usually pay 12-13 dollars for two slices and a drink, sometimes closer to 15 if I get toppings. Being that NYC used to be a place where you could get that same meal for $5, these prices do disappoint me, but it would be unfair for me to judge La Casa Mia by outdated standards. For the current economic climate, their prices are fair — but definitely not a bargain...

I ordered yesterday at 10:10 pm for pickup on the Slice app. Checked Gmaps and it said they close at 11:00, so I expected to come by around 10 minutes before close and pick up my order. I also received a text that said verbatim “Hi . We're busier than usual. Your re-estimated pickup time is 10:42 PM - 10:57 PM.“
I got into my car with an estimated 8 minute drive at 10:44 and immediately got a call from someone at the restaurant saying “we’re closing in 5 minutes.” I apologized for holding them up, and said I’d be there as soon as possible. Got there at 10:51 and the lights were off, gate was down, and not a soul in sight.
I contacted Slice and they said that once the restaurant reopens, Slice would contact them regarding my issue. I attached the response I received from Slice, in which someone claims that they “waited an extra 15 minutes after they close”, in which case why did I only receive a call giving me 5 minutes warning.
Suffice it to say, I placed an order and some error(s) in communication led to me receiving neither the food I paid for nor a refund. Frankly, I don’t even want a refund at this point; I consider this situation very off-putting and don’t want to spend more time dealing with this restaurant. I won’t say that I’m blame free since I was cutting it close by placing my order so late, which is why posting this review is the last action I’m going to take regarding this.
This was the first and last time I order from La Casa Mia and the sole purpose I have for writing this review is to share my experience because I think this restaurant does a poor job of communicating with customers. I was really looking forward to the food; I saw high ratings online and I honestly don’t know if it lives up to the hype, but now I don’t care...

I recently visited La Casa Mia and was thoroughly disappointed by the experience. Albanian guy working there (presumably the owner/manager) was shockingly rude and arrogant. When I attempted to pay for my pizza, the guy behind the counter seemed completely uninterested in helping me. Instead of proceeding my order’s payment, he started doing other tasks, clearly expecting me to wait longer. When I politely asked him to expedite the payment process, he became dismissive and hostile. The condition of the restaurant was equally disturbing. The floors were sticky, counters dirty, and tables unkempt. Trash was scattered around the dining area, and the air reeked of grease and stagnation. It's clear they don't prioritize cleanliness. The combination of terrible service and disgusting environment made for a truly unacceptable experience. I've never felt so disrespected at a restaurant before. I have been buying pizza at Delmar for the last 10 years and nothing like this. Stuff always nice and they do a great service. My recommendations for the manager/owner: Replace rude staff with customer-focused personnel. Prioritize cleanliness and sanitation. Improve efficiency and attentiveness during payment process. We...
