Started off seeming like a nice looking place. Had reservations for dinner. Was seated at a booth with a TV. Drinks were ordered and we requested a specific NFL game, however the waiter stated that all the TV's on that side of the area were reserved for the UCF game only. We were then asked to move with our drinks to another area. We were now seated at a high top instead, but they did offer to change one of the TV's to our original game we requested. The high top we were placed at ended up having a DJ that was setting up right next to us which was unexpected. Once our food arrived and we started eating, we were asked to move again so that a dance floor could be put down in the area we were sitting at. So what did they do? They moved us back to our originally seating and offered to turn our game on the TV, now that the entire reserved area had no one show up. No one seemed to care about us having to continue to move, nor care about the food we ordered was now having to be packed up and moved as well. So us, our food, and our drinks were moved again. We were never given any kind of apology or anything. We've now has two different servers. Dinner just felt ruined, and we decided to leave. We were so upset we didnt even finish our drinks or our dinner. It just wasn't even good at that point. Very poor decision making on their end for customers, especially customers who had made reservations. The manager offered us a free meal if we were to return, however that was our last evening in NYC. I requested a partial refund for our drinks and dinner that wasn't finished, but recieved no reply from the management. Poor customer service...

UPDATE REVIEW: Everything has been resolved. Management were finally able to get in touch with me and were very helpful.

One of the best sports bars to hang out in the city, hands down. Gonna be there for the finals. HYPE!! OLD REVIEW BELOW

The place is great but management is starting to seem sketchy and okay with wrongdoings, sadly. They're basically okay for doing something wrong to their customers.

Went there for the Liverpool v Roma 2nd leg. Had a blast. It's always a good time there when there's a match on.

Fast forward to a couple days later. I see my credit card was charged $60 for that day there. My bill was only $20 plus a $4 tip.

I actually understood that this accidentally happened. Like, I tipped $4. Bartender probably typed in $40. It's fine. An honest mistake on a busy day.

I called the bar. Spoke to a manager. Told him what happened. He said I'll get a call the next day.

Nobody called me the next day.

So I called again the following day. I spoke to another manager. Explained my situation and what has happened so far. He did the same thing. took down notes and told me I would receive a callback about this issue.

I never got a callback.

Now, I try and call the bar again and nobody picks up the phone anymore. I've tried a few times and nothing. I even left a voicemail. No response.

So here I am. Almost two weeks later since the incident. Putting up this review just to give people a heads up. I like going there but this behavior of the management can't go unnoticed.

My review will remain 1 star until this...

Booked ages ago for Christmas lunch. Arrived about an hour before booking and sat at bar having a drink. We've been here a load of times and the bar is great and so is the service however it all went wrong when it came to sitting down for food. We were moved into the backroom with a few other bemused looking people. After half an hour someone took our order off the Xmas special menu. After another half hour they brought us a free jug of beer. A few minutes later our supposed vol au vent arrived which resembled half a shark spewing white sauce (photo attached) - we were that hungry that I went and got our knives and forks and ate the deconstructed mess which tasted okay to be fair. After another very long wait the attempt at Xmas Dinner arrived and it was obvious they had ran out of ingredients with shreaded half slice of turkey and a tiny clice of ham and no sprouts or veg. They also said they had no desert left. At this stage we had enough and decided to call it a day. The table next to us also had a similar experience although their dinner was freezing cold. At this stage the bar was in complete chaos with kids running around fighting with pool queues and the wcs in a complete mess. The staff did say they took a walk in of 44 people which caused most of the problems. I hate writing this review as for many years the Irish American Bar was our favourite in NYC but the Xmas day carnage cannot go unmentioned as essentially we had...

SEVERE FOOD POISONING ALERT: These owners are horrible. Yesterday at Arsenal vs Liverpool game they sold $20 limited spot tickets and stated they will stop entry at 10:30AM. At 11:30AM they were letting people in at $10/ per head. On top of that I got a benedict sandwich and am suffering from cross contamination food poisoning next day. These people are greedy, they are rude, and they think business is promised to them forever. I can’t wait to see them go out of business. Horrible people. I come to this bar all the time & the customer service keeps getting drastically worse. They don’t care for customer satisfaction, they refuse to open additional rooms as they have multiple available, the food crew serving is so spiky and have much attitude and almost to a level of yelling at their customers. Liverpool is a good cult and an fan of the team but this bar is horrible and not worth the price. I come from Greenpoint, BK to be here and it is always a shitshow, they make customers’ experience so terrible, leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
