TIP: DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS HERE IF YOU HAVE TICKETS TO A SHOW. SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT! My friends and I were excited to visit this restaurant before seeing a show in the evening. We chose this restaurant because we saw they offered a pre-theater menu, which we anticipated would mean the service would be quick. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately on the second floor. However, we were still waiting over 20 minutes later for someone to take our order. We ended up having to find someone in the restaurant to take our order and he was helpful, but told us this wasn’t normally his section and pointed out the woman who should’ve been taking our order, who only came to check on us after we had been seated for an hour. We received our first course 25 minutes later (butternut squash soup and misticanza salad). The time was now 6:45. The misticanza salad was the best part of my meal and worthy of five stars. I didn’t try the soup, but one of my friends did. We received our main course 25 minutes later and for my poor friend who hadn’t ordered the pre-theater dinner, she was waiting an hour and ten minutes after being seated for her meal! By the time we finished eating the main course it was 7:25 and again we had tickets to a performance. I ordered the penne alla pomodoro and the sauce was very disappointing. It tasted like they had just warmed canned tomato sauce and poured it on top. Unfortunately it was some of the worst pasta I’ve ever received at a restaurant in NYC. We had to find someone in the restaurant to ask for our check and to see if they could quickly bring out the desserts we had ordered. We received our desserts by 7:40, however, we had hoped to be walking over to our show by that time and not having to quickly gulp down dessert. I had the lemon meringue vanilla sponge cake for dessert and it was okay. I liked it enough, but wouldn’t recommend the dessert and it certainly wouldn’t make me want to come back to the restaurant just to have it again…the salad maybe. Overall the service was atrocious and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you tickets to see a performance. The four men sitting at the table behind us were also complaining about the lack of service and stopped one of the waiters to enquire what was taking so long to receive their food. PROS * beautiful interior design * misticanza salad * quiet dining experience despite being busy

First time here, celebrating my girlfriends birthday, it was great! We enjoyed the restaurant week menu, all of which was amazing! From Restaurant Week 2022: Their seafood is soooo fresh and tasty (enjoyed the salmon crudo and the Dorado entree). We also enjoyed glasses of chardonnay, also quite delicious, very cold and excellent body. The soup for appetizer was absolutely delicious and soul comforting, highly recommend. The braised beef and polenta was so decadent and tender, and the polenta just melted in your mouth. Both desserts were so rich and so, so good! Their chocolate cake is like a ganache, rich but not too overwhelming. Oh, and the cheesecake is not at all lemon-ie, it's more plain with subtle random notes of lemon, the raspberry sauce is divine, and I really enjoyed eating a blackberry with cheesecake 😋, texture was excellent! A la Carte: We also ordered the Pappardele al Antonio, it was oh so good!!!! Though I think the pasta itself needed a lil salt while boiling, but the sauce and beef was perfection! I also wish I could have tasted the provolone fondue more, I was looking forward to that. Overall, the food was everything I thought it would be, the portions are reasonable and fulfilling, but I do think everything was low in salt (except the Vellutata soup and Crudo di salmone). The service was excellent, staff is tidy, attentive and organized. For my first time experiencing a Michelin starred restaurant, I was very content.

Had the opportunity to visit Casa Limone for business dinner on a Tuesday evening at about 6pm, as a group of 7. We had made reservations ahead and that helped get a nice corner table. It's NYC, so reaching here is advisable either by walk or using the sub. We were amongst the first guests for dinner but the place was packed by the time we were leaving at 8.15pm. We had a pleasant experience being welcomed and waited on. The staff were very professional and gave us the time any information needed to decide on our courses. The menu is largely Italian, so don't expect much else. They did have a burger. The dishes arrived fast and in quick succession. The dishes themselves felt like a bit of a letdown, mostly since they all tasted bland. The calamari fritter was very nice though. We were joking about not choosing olive garden instead. The portion sizes are pretty generous though (except the four cheese pizza that was unexpectedly small). Overall, Casa Limone offers a pleasant environment for somewhat private conversations over a meal. Expensive but not unjustified. However the taste/experience of the dish could get better.

Casa Limone truly exceeded our expectations during "restaurant week." The $45 special menu offered an outstanding selection that catered to everyone's taste. The ambiance of the restaurant was just perfect for our group of four, allowing us to have meaningful conversations without any disturbances. My wife and I started with the mixed salad and salmon Crudo from the three course menu, and they were both delightful - delicious, perfectly prepared, and not overly dressed. The Branzino (fish), in particular, was a standout and reminded me of some of the best fish we had in Sicily.

The accompanying vegetables served with the main dish were a delightful surprise - they were flawlessly cooked and seasoned, enhancing the overall dining experience. For dessert, we couldn't resist trying both the lemon meringue cake and the chocolate cake, and they were simply scrumptious, leaving us with a delightful finale to our meal.

One aspect that stood out was the terrific service we received throughout our visit. The staff was attentive, accommodating, and made us feel truly valued as guests. The entire experience at Casa Limone was a true delight, and I can't wait to return for another memorable...
