I ordered a Double Deep Fish and a large fry. The guy at the register asked if I want the combo. I said no. A girl walks out from the side door in regular clothes telling me that ordering it with the drink is the same price. I thought about it, but I still didn't want the drink. She then said that I could get a milk shake. I said that I don't want a milk shake (I don't like milk shakes). She then mumbled something under her breathe about me to the other guy working there, as if I weren't even standing there. I was not rude or disrespectful. I simply didn't want the f&$king drink! This is the last straw. After tonight's incident, I now remember why I said years ago that I wouldn't go there again.
The last time I was there years ago, I ordered a 20-piece chicken nuggets. The woman rang my order up as a 10-piece. She then wanted to ring up another 10-piece and charge me for it. I pointed out that it would cost me more if she rang it up that way, not that I care about the change, but it's a matter of principle. She made a mistake and was too lazy to correct it, and she wanted me to pay for it.
The workers there are ghetto, rude, and disrespectful. Everyone in the neighborhood should do ourselves a favor, and don't frequent this place. Put them out...
Read moreWent here yesterday on a Saturday afternoon. This wasn't my first ideal place to go to for lunch but I defaulted here because one burger spot I wanted to go to was closed at the time. What restaurant spot is closed on a Saturday Afternoon?? I digress.
It's been ages since I've been here. I remember coming to this Checkers location when it first opened 15 years ago and was my usual go to spot when I still lived the area until eventually moving out in 2015. This is my first time returning here since 2019 and yeah, covid regulations changed up the inside of the place. Gone is the large seating areas, reduced to half their size and a glass pane in-between the ordering area is set up which wasn't there the last time I was in Checkers. Aside from the plain, minimalist look of the location, the food is still on point, reminding me of the area I once chose over McDonald's and Burger King nearby back in my early to mid 20s. It lightened up my mood after not being able to eat at the first spot I wanted to go to and I should make more trips to Checkers. I missed the comfortable seating area but it's good to know the burgers and chicken hasn't...
Read moreThe food is starting to get more consistent in being great again. The fries are too hard sometimes from being freshly done, so it's probably something to do with the oil they are using. The service for taking your order is really bad sometimes, because whenever I try to make my order they either give me the correct order or not, I never say if it's wrong or not I just take my food and leave. They should add a machine like how Tacobell and McDonald's have as to where you don't need a human to make your order, only to take the money, and or still make orders for those who don't know how to use the machine. It's been up and down at this place over the years, but it's overall good. It just needs some improvements to get better with order taking and keeping the quality good. This is...
