Kaieteur Express Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

If you've ever been to a Caribbean spot before then you know it can get loud. If you've never been....considered this your warning,It takes some getting used to. Being from the Caribbean, I'm pretty used to this. Kaieteur is usually nice and clean,unless it's rush hour and then it becomes chaos. The servers are nice,usually Guyenese girl and will literally sit and have a chat with customers they know (sometimes), because everybody knows everybody. The food is Guyanese version on Chinese food (of course,duh)and then there's curries like duck or chicken....etc. Depending on the chef, you can have an amazing meal....or a not so great one. I think this place has room for growth and they can bring in newer and keep most of there returning customers,if they have consistency. But being that it's one of the well known Guyanese spot in Queens,NY.....Guyanese and other Caribbean people will be loyal. But as an owner,the restaurant should always...

We order from this restaurant practically every week. Today the delivery guy showed up and called to say he's outside. We asked him to give us a minute and within a few seconds he started banging on the door saying "come on come on!!!"

When asked why he was being so rude, he proceeded to inform us to order from another restaurant next time. Thinking that as a business, the person in charge would like to know how rude their driver was, we called. The "cashier" answered and informed us that the driver had already contacted him to say we took a really long time to answer the door. When I explained what really happened and that we had three individuals that witnessed his rudeness, this "cashier" stated "Well that's not what the driver said".

Pathetic place with no sense of customer service. When they're late and don't deliver your food for two hours, you must be understanding but their drivers cannot possibly be in the wrong....

FIRST AND FOREMOST MY FAMILY AND I USE EAT KAIETEUR FREQUENTLY AROUND THE YEAR 2000- 2010 , ,THATS WHEN WE FIRST GOT INTRODUCED TO THE RESTAURANT,, AND I TELL U THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD, AT THOSE TIME ,,, NO I JUS ORDER LAMB CABBAGE, N A ORDER I CHICKEN LO MEIN .. YESTERDAY IT WAS HORRIFIC DISGUSTING ,, KAIETEUR HAS FEEL OFF 100 % I COME FROM A WESTINDIAN BACKGROUND I KNOW HOW THE FOOD IS SUPPOSE TO TASTE,, ANYONE THATS SAYS KAIETEUR FOOD IS GOOD IS LYING IM BEING HONEST AND TRUTHFUL.U RECEIVED LESS FOOD THE TASTE AND QUALITY IS GARBAGE!!! THEY HAVE ALSO OVER YEARS WENT UP ON PRICES N FOOD HAS DECRESELY HAS FELL OFF BIG TIME ,, THE CHEF NEEDS TO GET OFF OF THE KICTEN IMMEDIATELY!! KAIETEUR WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!: I LIVE LOCALLY AND ITS ASHAME TO C EHAT THAS S RESTAURANT BECAME TO BE , GARBAGE ,NASTY, DISGUSTING, YUCK YUCK, IM LETTING THE PEOPLE THE PUBLIC KNOW WHATS...
