China Chef — Restaurant in New York

The service is horrible. To start a kid took my order which I didn’t think it was a big deal at the time but after the experience I can say I was wrong. I got home and seen there was egg roll missing. Thought I just go the next day and get it. The lady there was saying I don’t believe you. Like I would come in here and lie for a $1.50 egg roll. Then I told her what I was charged the kid ended over charging me and the lady said the story didn’t add up. She eventually started yelling you want the egg roll I give to you and started yelling at the cook in the back. So I simply told her don’t worry about it. Customer service is horrible simply made a big deal out of something so little. I only went back thinking they would just give an egg roll and maybe order something else. But after the hassle I figure I just take my money to a competitor for now. There is many in the area. And after looking at the reviews for this one I see why I got the service I was given. (AVOID IF POSSIBLE THEY BRING THEY BUSINESSES TO LOW INCOME NEIGHBORHOOD AND DONT KNOW HOW TO...

I ordered here on my way home (chicken and fried rice) got home the chicken was pretty much raw...I called making them know I was gonna return the next day with the food because it was cold out and not close to my home .. I saved it to bring back the following day. Fast fwd to the next day. I go into the restaurant and is greeted by the lady who works there she insisted that i was lying and it was not bought at her business place. Note that i spoke with them prior. The child who took my order confirmed with the lady whom i believe is her mother that i was indeed a customer the day before. She still argued with me very loud and rude. She is very hostile, rude and tons of other things i rather not say. When this place was Cam Tak service great and food was awesome. Now its undercooked food and bad attitudes dnt waste your money...

Food was excellent. I observed when I was waiting for my good, a homeless person came into China chef and asked me for a few dollars to buy some food. I could not accommodate him. The owner heard his request and my unfortunate answer so she gave the homeless guy a meal for free. I was pleased by her charity. The manager who was also there explained to me the restaurants philosophy of positive community outreach and added that "We see the community members not as just customers, but as family. And if the free food that we give out isn't in China Chef's budget that we will take money out of our own pocket to feed somebody." With that attitude and philosophy, I would highly recommend China Chef to anyone looking for a good...
