I just went to Chloe for the first time yesterday. I had been to By Chloe years ago before it was public that she got screwed over. Most important item I went to get was the tiramisu cinnamon bun. It was amazing, but I ate that later. For there I ordered the tofu scramble wrap (mainly to try the maple seitan). I got served the plate version, which has toast instead. I started eating it before I realized. I was happy enough with the food, it looked so amazing and tasted good, and was generous portion, but I wanted to try a little bit of the seitan. (Sorry I didn't take any food pics, but trust me the scramble plate is worth it) I asked Chloe if I could have a tiny bit of the seitan after explaining what happened. She is so sweet. I ended up getting a cup about 3/4 full. I would have been happy with a few bites, just to know if next time I would want the wrap. The seitan is great too, but has a little kick to it from sriracha. And it made the cup greasy, so it's somewhat oily. I also got the brussels sprouts hash browns, again really good. I had the Peach Palmer to drink which was refreshing without being too sweet. When I ordered, I had a coupon someone gave me for a free cookie when you order any item. The cashier tried to tell me I had to leave a review before getting the cookie even though it says in fine print you don't. I told him I would leave one later. He let that go once I pointed it out. The annoying thing was he said it had to be the chocolate chip cookie even though that's not stated on the card. He said he was told it has to be that one, but if the company didn't state that on the coupon, the customer should get whatever one they want. It's their mistake. There is no signage at the register correcting the wording of the coupon card. And when I said a manager could override it he said he isn't one, instead of getting me someone higher up who could decide differently. I let it go, but later told Chloe and she said I could get a different one, but since they didn't have the pumpkin marshmallow one I wanted I stuck with the chocolate chip. I could have gotten a ginger cookie, but wasn't in the mood for that one. I appreciated that Chloe made an effort to rectify it though. And it was a good cookie. To sum up, food was awesome, Chloe is a sweetheart, but I wish that cashier was nicer about the coupon thing. He needs to learn how to interact with customers a little better. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely go back to try the burger, taco salad, and mac & cheese (which I loved at the old iteration). Only real con was since it was frigid this weekend every time the door opened a bunch of cold air rushed in and my feet were cold by the time I left. Not sure how they can solve that problem, but maybe get a thick curtain to pull across the inside of the door to block the cold air. Or get some heaters. My advice would be if it's a crazy cold day to take it to go if you have somewhere inside to eat...
Read moreI saw this place while scrolling through IG. A few people said this place has good Vegan/vegetarian food, friendly service, and fast service. So I wanted to treat myself even thou it was far from my home.
I arrived at the opening and already there were people placing orders. The line went quick so I didn't think anything of it. 30 mins later, I'm confused as to why it's taking so long to receive my food. The cashier didn't tell anyone beforehand of the long wait time. The lady at the counter calling out orders told some people that the machine was down and orders were backed up. I'm seeing people who order ahead of me get their food and people after me get their orders.
Not once did she come up to me and ask what the name of my order was. She repeatedly passed by me like I was no one. Several times she passed by hitting my backpack as she carried dine-in orders in a rush. Even other ppl take-out orders were being rushed ahead of mine. I paid $35+ for 3 things (Taco Salad, Mac & Cheese, and a cookie) and felt like I wasn't wanted in this establishment.
When I finally got my food it was an hour later. Everyone else before and after me got their order. Not once did she tell me sorry for the extremely long wait. Just ignored me like I was a nobody and proceeded to talk to her friend on the side about her weekend.
This was my 1st and now last time coming to this place. The absolute worst service I've received in my entire life. I wouldn't recommend this...
