Our organization rented this space from Peerspace for $867. The landlord says this space is not legally supposed to be rented out. The landlord and the host are completely irresponsible, unprofessional and inconsiderate in how they treated us. The landlord called the police to stop our event, making false claims that our gathering of 30 people were louder than an outdoor restaurant and a clothing shop on the street level! The event was conducted during business hours, we weren't even going to be there past 8pm on a Saturday! We were told to leave the space immediately as if we had done something wrong. The host was neither apologetic or eager to understand what went wrong. This leads me to believe he and the landlord have come across this issue more than once and they are more than aware of what's going on. We've been professional and this issue will be taken into a legal matter.
