Compadres Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

Place used to be so much better years ago when it was located on 78th street and 101ave. It was always consistent and the owner and the family were very friendly, fast and accommodating. Staff now can be incredibly rude at times. Rude like telling you what you ordered over the phone instead of saying what they heard you order. I don't eat shrimp never ate shrimp and have a mild allergy to shrimp so unless I was ordering for someone else shrimp would never be part of my order. I realized before opening the food because the price was so high I had to ask of they raised prices. After going back and forth with the gentleman for 15 minutes about what my order should have been he finally just says he isn't going to fight he'll just make the food over. At this point I don't want the food I've spent time I didn't have to waste and got into a very heated discussion about what I'm being told came out of my own mouth. I immediately just tell him not to begin making the food order ill just take the cash I had already handed to him back. This man literally pulled his hand back from the counter out in on his chest and said he wouldn't give me my money back. I had to get irate before the lady behind him says in Spanish she's wrong but just give her the money. I got my money but for her to say I'm wrong was just unnecessary.

Sometimes the foods really good. But other times like when they're busy I wouldnt take a chance. Ordered today, a scheduled delivery, but they were late, i didnt mind because I figured today was a busy day for them, but then they forgot to pack 3 things from my order, and I understand that it happens however the cherry on top of all this is that they send me OLD chicken . I've worked in a Mexican restaurant before, i know what old meat looks like I know what it taste like. The chicken was a texture like it had been in the fridge for a while but reheated? I've had chicken like this from them before and it made me sick. I hate the fact that both burrito bowls had to be thrown out because they werent edible . Anyways dont think I'll order again. Not...

This restaurant has just moved to my top favorites in the community, I've passed this establishment so many times and always wondered how the food taste. A few days ago my girlfriend and I decided to try it and we were pleasantly pleased of the quality, taste, seasoning and freshness of the food. The order process was smooth, we used seamless and when the food arrived everything was correct. The food was so fresh and well prepared that we enjoyed every bite, and it was so plentiful that we had leftovers for the next day. I give this restaurant 5☆'s and if I could I would give 10!!!
