Almost everything was great except the egregious and rude behavior of the manager. Problem: Blueberries were on the verge of spoiling. I ordered blueberries for my pancakes and what arrived was a bowl of completely wrinkled, several smushed and even a few with white mold on them. I asked the waiter if they had any that weren’t so old and he said they were all like that. He asked to “take them away” three times even though I repeatedly said, “If all the blueberries you have look like that, I prefer to keep them and sort through for the few edible ones, than have nothing, but I think it’s not right to pay full price for this.” The manager came over and then tried gaslighting in two ways- first, insisting that what was a moldy blueberry was not mold and second, when he brought 100% fresh blueberries to replace the old ones, that “they look this way bc they haven’t been washed,” as he sets them down on the table. I exclaimed, “Please, wash them. why are you serving me unwashed blueberries?? Also, simply washing them is not going to cause them to wrinkle in that way or have mold”. He scoffs and walks away, saying they all came from the same box. They acted like I was being so demanding and neither really ever apologized. When I commented to the waiter that his manager had been really unreasonable and that I didn’t want to penalize him bc of that, although I was confused why he had told me all the blueberries they had looked that way, he said, “well, the problem is solved now,” and walked away too. At that point I was done and the rest of my meal was spent writing this unpleasant review rather than enjoying the food. Picture below is of three of berries. They all looked like that, but the manager took the rest of the bowl away.

This is the gem stop of our visits to NYC. Excellent service, very affordable and clean! The staff is wonderful and kind. They run the restaurant with precision and expertise without making the guests feel rushed. The menu offers hearty meals or light snacks... Something for everyone. And it's all delicious 😋 During this trip to NYC we went 3 times and each time we were seated and served quickly. A great choice when you want a diner experience in Manhattan ♥️ Cosmic diner is definitely our touchstone of a long theater day. Eating with locals and surrounded by quiet theater professionals grabbing a meal between shows {we were lucky to have a wonderful chit chat with a Luis Armstrong orchestra musician one time and another 2 tourist from Pennsylvania who were there to see wicked}. Cosmic offers a space for chatter and good food ♥️ See ya next time !!! Yolanda and Kalea from California

This is a great local diner in midtown on 8th ave. The place is clean, service is fast and efficient and the food quality is great. This is a quality example of what a "local Diner" should be. Its been around for ages and caters to the people who live nearby, the stagehands who work the Broadway theatres and talk show venues and to the tourists wise enough to walk slightly farther from Times Square to get a meal. Today I had the Corned Beef Hash and over medium eggs. Everything was cooked perfectly, the english muffin was oversized and they even have marmalade instead of the grape jelly. The service was quick, polite and efficient while the price was beyond fair for a New York City Brunch. This place is worth going to if you want a decent meal at a reasonable NYC price served by people who are good at what they do. Yup, its a great NYC local diner.

This place was quite convenient to our stay at our close by hotel. The food was average but the service was horrid. As soon as my girlfriend and I stepped in we felt rushed. I am unsure if that is their training but it isn't fair to us being that we didn't get the chance to even review the menu and we are asked what would we like to order. Again we were asked within the span of a few minutes and decided to just pick something to eat. Once we got the food we were continually stared at from the distance of the register to our window seats. How is it needed for the same waiter to stare at us but never at the same people next to our table who he was also serving. As soon as my girlfriend finished her plate the biased/porter teleported to our table rushing to take our plates when I was only almost done. The waiter again staring at us immediately asked if we were ready for our check. My girlfriend confirmed this and proceeded to give the waiter her card he quickly mumbled about the tip yet we did not understand exactly what he said. Which is whether it was included or not as soon as the receipt was given in the middle of my girlfriend writing her signature the busser again teleported to our table giving the receipt to the waiter. To top it all of the waiter had the audacity to question us on our decision on not giving a tip though we thought it was included. He said "no tip?" It is by far the most unprofessional diner I have gone to in a long time and never have I heard a waiter or seen one stare at my girlfriend and I in such a vulgar way about a tip. Being that we were being rushed out of the diner thinking of it later they did not deserve a tip from us at all especially that we order quite a lot of food for ourselves. It was very disrespectful and if I were able to get a refund I would definitely do so. So warning to all who feel that want to come to this diner stay away! We were only there for a minor 20 minutes we didn't even get a chance to relax after our meal due to the waiter being down our necks in stares of get up...

I came here with a friend today. The scenery was amazing. Very cutesy very demure. The service was a bit difficult because of a language barrier and I had a hard time understanding the accent. But we got our orders in a timely manner. I loved the Belgian waffle, though it was very sweet for me. I give that a 7/10. The egg and cheese I ordered was something I could’ve made at home. It was just a bit too cheesy and salty. I give that a 6.8/10. The turkey sausage is just turkey sausage. Nothing too fancy. It’s a cool 9/10. The lemonade however was just perfect for me. 10/10. Not too lemony. Not too watery. Not too sweet. My friend ordered the same thing as me and she just added a beef burger. We both tried it and it was not good. I believe it was made medium rare. Us being African we like it (meat) well done😂😂. I couldn’t even eat it fully. The iced tea she ordered was a -300/10🤮🤮. Don’t👏🏽order👏🏽the👏🏽iced👏🏽tea👏🏽❗️That’s disgusting; unless you prefer bitter iced tea. She chose a Snapple iced tea in place of it. The syrup??? Ouuu. Too good😍. Just add some salt and pepper to them eggs and call it a day🙌🏽. The price was a tad bit higher for just the both of us. $81??? Yeah no. We could’ve went to IHOP and gotten a lower price. But yeah. That’s that. I like the place and I would only come back if I could get that...
