Gristedes — Local services in New York

I was there in September and I just wanted to buy some Beer. So I`m german and I had no idea about american beer, I always thought american has to be flavoride like dog pee. So I bought any american beer youngling or somethin, I could bought warsteiner but thats what I know from germany and I wanted to taste something new. Thats why I grabed the youngling sixpack and went to the check out. I had a conversation about american beer with the cashier and he sayed youngling is his favorite beer. And what can I say? It was my beer for the rest of my trip to the USA, best beer you have overthere not that good like my favrite Beer from my Hometown Bremen Haake Beck but very good. The store is expensive like everything in New York but I think more friendly...

Left NYC for 3 months because of the Corona Virus, came back to order supplies to restock my apartment, I found no prices on any of the items, and when you bring the items you think they are priced it doubles at the register. All of the prices doubled since I have left, staff was nasty. Thank god John Catsimatidis did not become the mayor of NYC. I am a republican and will never vote for a crook. I own a business in NYC and I don't gauge my customers. Unlike 9 out of 10 people who get mistreated and just don't come back, I will complain and NOT see if anything has changed, most complainers come back to see if improvements were applied. Coming from out of town (Maryland) and this was my 2nd time visiting this store in a week. The store was clean. Great customer service. I even saw the manager out on the floor working. Everyone including the manager was friendly. Crystal at the register was very helpful and polite. She remembered me from my first visit when I checked out at a different register. Josh from the deli counter, not only did he make good suggestions on what items to try, but he saw I needed help getting a Lyft. He was on a break and took the time to stay with me until my Lyft arrived and he put my groceries in the trunk of the Lyft. I will never forget such kind and...
