I'm being serious when I say run, don't walk, to this new Indian joint in Astoria. On a cold evening, this was perfect food to warm the soul. I got the three course prix fixe for $22 which includes an appetizer, entree w/ rice, and dessert. I got the butternut squash soup, lamb saag, and kheer (rice pudding). The portions can easily last you 3-4 meals. They were all delicious, although ask for spicy if you like spicy - medium is closer to mild here. The lamb saag was not at all greasy, unlike at other Indian places. The environment is clean and ambient, with mood lighting and soft music. Big shoutout to Niraj, my server, who was friendly, quick, helpful with explanations, and never overbearing. He even gave me some mulligatawny soup to try, after hearing I'd never tried it before. This will be a regular spot for me from now on when I'm looking for a quality, efficient,...
Read moreThey just opened and I've been looking for a good indian spot near me so I had to check it out. Ordered online and they called me almost immediately because I forgot to specify what kind of naan I wanted. Went to pick up the food and was greeted by Irraj who explained they were still in their soft opening phase. Regardless, I got my chicken tikka masala, veggie samosas, and garlic naan pretty quickly. After one bite of each I already knew I found my new favorite indian spot in Astoria. The garlic naan was both huge and very delicious. The tikka masala was just the right amount of spice. And the samosas were the best I've ever had. All for a great price too! No doubt this place will blow up and I will absolutely be returning soon to try out the rest of...
Read moreI just tried Curry Corner in Astoria for the first time, and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the Vegetable Samosa, Pakora, and Paneer Tikka, and each dish was fantastic — the samosas were perfectly crispy and flavorful, the pakoras were light and delicious, and the paneer tikka had a rich smoky taste with just the right amount of spice.
Their menu is impressive, offering a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, flavorful curries, chaats, soups, and more. I also love that they have a 3-Course Prix Fixe menu for $22 and a Lunch Special for $13 (12–3 PM) — great deals for the generous portions and quality you get.
The service was friendly, and the food arrived hot and fresh. If you’re in Astoria and craving authentic Indian food, Curry Corner...
