Da Kichn — Restaurant in New York

Saw this place was close by when looking for food. The menu and 4.9☆ were enough to stop by. The experience left me confused as to how they have or maintain a 4.9.

We were given a menu with like 5 or 6 small bite options. Later on, we asked if this was their late night menu. The "waitress" said she thinks so and then gave us a full menu and said she knew for sure they were out of one thing, but we could ask about everything else. We had already ordered a few things off small menu.

I ordered Buffalo wings and sweet chili wings and asked for the sweet chili on the side. I also asked for one ranch and one blue chz. Anywhere I've ever been, blue chz and ranch came with wings. I got the bill and was charged for THREE sauces. I guess the sweet chili being on the side made it not free. The wings all looked weird, like lollipop wings. A lot of bone was exposed. Buffalo were ok. Plain wings tasted like absolutely nothing. Not a speck of salt.

Fried shrimp came with a weird squiggly circle of what looked like sweet chili on the tray. I asked for tartar sauce. Come to think of it, maybe that's the 3rd sauce charge.

Shrimp were small, but did taste good.

After we ate, it took forever to get the attention of the "waitress" who was at the next table smoking hookah with a gentleman it seemed like she knew. We hadn't had any drinks and the plates had been cleared. A bill seemed like the obvious next step.

Check had the nerve to have an automatic 20% gratuity.

Overall, the 2 stars were for the shrimp and I guess you could call it hospitality of the person who greeted us.

Saw this places on instagram and I had to check it out. My friend and I went this past Thursday and had a blast! Karaoke, Good Drinks, Great Vibes! Very small and intimate! The Rum Punch was punching ! Loved my waitress. She was very attentive and entertaining. The owner was so sweet! I will definitely will be back and...

I really enjoyed their fried chicken wings and shrimp it was fried to perfection. The mashed potatoes weren't right, but I'm hoping they fix that next time and i didn't like how it was served like grits. Chef was very gracious, hope to go...
