I wandered in here yesterday night hoping for a decent bowl of food and I REALLY GOT IT!!!! I'm glad I went in when it was empty because i feel like it would be a mutual nightmare to be in here when it's busy not knowing your exact order. The brussel sprouts were real good I'm glad they're enjoying the type of "how about just add this to anything" type resurgence avocados and bacon have enjoyed, they're better suited to it. The lady at the counter had a lot of patience for me being hungry and confused which is vital in this type situation. A lot of customers in this specific neighborhood can be Devil People so you should probably give her a raise, you and I both know some time in the next month somebody in a fleece vest is going to say something unbelievably cruel to her or she's going to have to try to explain the menu to a family of French people who will only communicate by speaking very fast french and when she tries to explain she doesn't speak french they start speaking it louder and a little faster like that's the solve for this situation. She deserves to be able to buy a really huge bubble tea or an iPhone or whatever after...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'll start with the food being good. They had a guy churning out the freshly cooked/prepared foods. There was a chick who was basically the only one in the front and when it got busy she did great in keeping up with the pace/foot traffic (whatever you want to call it)
The issue was when she asked for assistance from a third employee, who seemed very unhappy to have to assist a small rush of business. She wasn't outright rude, but her mannerisms and general vibe were off. I'll probably order from here again, but not in person.
The only other thing I have to say is that the layout is off, like there's something missing. From the ordering side, in person, there's no menu that I saw and the layout seemed scattered for the employees to be able to make your bowls efficiently. It's like they were trying not to be like Chipotle, but then completely threw an organized system out the window. Reorganize a bit, help your employees help your customers easier, and maybe put up a proper menu (or list of options, so people don't have to say "whats that bowl? And that??...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI felt demeaned as soon as I walked in the place, like the employees were SO much better than me. Then, I was belittled after taking some time to read their loose leaf menu and ordering steak after I picked out "only greens?" and my two sides, for my "protein," scoffed the aloof and unconnecting employee. (As if I didn't know that my meat selection contained protien!) "Oh," he continued, "We don't serve steak on the weekends." Nowhere on the menu does it spout that imaginary rule to which he gave an inaudible response as to why they don't do it. I then selected something else and proceeded to the register. Convenient for the "Dig Inn" app owner or anyone with a credit card, I had forgot that this place doesn't take cash (illegal by the way) so I had to go and borrow my friend's. Even some of the customers seemed too cool and Millennial for me and way into their electronic devices to be bothered. Over all, not bad on the food (salmon was a little dry), but not something I'd wish...
