Flatiron Public Plaza — Attraction in New York

A furnished island in the middle of two super busy streets where you can stop, take a photo, get a map, take a seat, and try not to get hit by cars. Just like all the urban spaces in the city, there are small metal tables and chairs to relax a bit before going on your way. It's a great outdoor place to eat the gelato you got from Eataly and people watch, although Madison Square Park is also right there. Probably the most photographed angle of the Flatiron building comes from kneeling in this plaza, but it never gets old. There's a tourist info booth that has maps and brochures of activities for lost tourists. There are art installations here sometimes. This past weekend the plaza turned into a popup exhibition of The Museum of Broken Relationships which had some really interesting pieces and stories, but the best part was the free popsicle...

Great views of the Empire State Building from here, and it's right by the Flatiron Building. Right across from Madison Square Park. Seating areas for you to enjoy food/drink and plenty of bins available. A perfect spot for photos, as it's right next to Broadway but a pedestrian spot, so you don't have to worry about being in the way of traffic. In addition to the Flatiron building, you can see the Empire State building from the plaza. FYI: two things to keep in mind if you are planning to get a killer shot of the Flatiron building. 1.)
