Super rude employee. I stopped quick to buy a coffee before getting on my train, they're not busy at all when I went but there is one person ahead of me, he orders a drink and is waiting for it to be made. One woman who is doing nothing and is on her phone behind the counter points at me and tells me that the line starts on the other side. I apologize because I just entered on the side I was walking in from, and yet she continues to tell me that there's a sign there and that I should pay attention to it. The customer ahead of me defends me and says that he walked in the same way and that I was probably just following (which is true) but she continues to make a stink about it until he leaves. Mind you, no one comes the entire time both me and the other customer were there, so its not like I was making a large line go in the wrong direction, it was just the two of us. I can understand that its frustrating to have customers go in the wrong direction, but perhaps you should make sure the sign that says the important info is FACING THE RIGHT DIRECTION. Because when I went the sign was facibg outwards so the only way I could have seen it was if I was facing the booth as a whole and not coming in from the side, like I did. I should have just left at this point but I needed coffee urgently so I ordered and left. I will say the lady who was doing everything by herself was very sweet but it didn't help the bitter taste left in my mouth by the other employee. Speaking of a bitter taste, their coffee is absolutely awful, down right disgusting. Tastes like it was burnt to hell and has been boiling in the pot since it was first made in the early morning. Legitimately disgusting. I understand doughnuts are their thing but how hard is it to make coffee that doesn't...
Read moreDoughnut plant is my favorite donut shop is NYC. I have been a patron of these establishments for over 10 years. However, i have recently moved to Westchester and seldom have a chance to indulge in a delicious treat.
This week, i was taking a train from Grand Central and had to stop by. I rang up a bill of $90 worth of donuts. The only problem was, i had about 8 minutes to catch my train. I asked the employee if he would be so kind as to help me out with quickness.
I have never been treated so rudely in my life. After spending almost $100, the employee told me, "you're probably going to miss your train, that's not how it works here." To say i was shocked is an understatement. He then proceeded to take his absolute SWEET TIME loading my boxes. I made my train with 1 minute to spare but only due to my sprinting across grand central.
Please fix the service at grand central because that is really not okay. I don't expect you to make miracles happen, but you could certainly scoop more than 1 donut every 25 seconds. They were going slow on purpose. Ill be going to another location from now on. So embarrassed by...
Read moreI haven’t tasted the doughnuts yet, because after waiting 15 minutes on line at the GCT stand in the lower level, with only one customer ahead of me the entire time who was supposedly placing his order, I gave up because I had to make my train. I really wanted to taste these since he won against Bobby Flay in “ Throwdown with Bobby Flay”... needless to say after I waited so long, I asked someone behind the counter where I should stand on line for just one doughnt ( it was apparent that the customer who was being served for 15 minutes must be buying dozens of doughnuts or alternatively was simply wasting the counterperson’s time with endless inquiries)..and I was told that I was on the correct line— it would have been nice if that person had the presence of mind to realize that there had been no actual sales of doughnuts in 15 minutes, and helped me. They didn’t so I left for my train. I hope that they get their act together, because they are not serving enough customers to make money or to...
