I just left this store. I don’t review too many places, but I felt the need to review this one.
Immediately upon waking in, there was an employee in front of me. There was another sitting down. Neither acknowledged me. I found the isle I needed and went in. I was looking for a specific wine. I found it, but I only saw one. Just then, one of the guys walks over and I’m thinking he will ask if I need help. NOT. He said excuse me and went about taking inventory. I then ask if they have more and he just looks at me. The one that was sitting down came to talk about inventory and checked for me. He said this is the last one and walked away. I then ask from across the isle if he had red in another brand or perhaps something similar. He said no and continued walking. I find 2 bottles I’m satisfied with and go to pay. I look at him, but he pays me no mind. I pay and as I’m signing, he pushes my bag of wines toward me and says here. I take the bag and the bottles clash. I say do you have a divider and he says oh yeah. He then gives me the shortest divider ever.
I really don’t think it’s asking too much to be acknowledged when walking into an establishment. I got nothing. No how are you, no can I help you find anything, no I’m sorry, we don’t have it in stock but..., no thank you, no did you find what you needed! Nothing at all. The worst part is that I was the only customer. Perhaps if it was busy, I would try and justify it, but it was not.
I came here because it’s attached to the Costco mall. I normally go to Mr. Wright’s on 88th. What a difference. Everyone greets you with a smile, ask you if they can help, offers up suggestions if they don’t have what you are looking for, etc. If you don’t need help, they’ll say well my name is..... I’ll be over here if you change your mind. They will even watch your car if you’re double parked so you can run in or get what you need so your’re not in there too long. They are great. The other store is obviously Mr. Wrong! I don’t see myself going in there anytime soon. Not even in a pinch. I’ll do without. They would probably have more customers if they pretended to care just...
Read moreHonestly, I would give 0 out of 5 stars. Incredibly RUDE, disrespectful service experience yesterday evening. I popped into the store to pick up a couple bottles of Prosecco. Was pleased to see the low price on one of my favorites as I have paid more for this type. When checking out, I noticed the price was $1 more (no big discrepancy but worth mentioning). Mentioned it to the clerk. He walked back to the fridge to check price, only to return to say the register price was correct...not the price on bottle. (BTW...not once had he made eye contact with me.) He continued with check out...I ask why I am not getting the lower price, in a condescending tone he tells me...”it’s a piece of paper, on a string...anyone could have moved it.” (Why did he walk back to the fridge to check if he was not going to do anything?) There was NO apology, like...’sorry, the price on bottle is incorrect. Unfortunately, I cannot honor due to our policy’...nothing of the sort. I was so appalled by his apathetic demeanor/response. I proceeded to tell him to have a wonderful day as I was not even thanked for the sale. This caught his attention as he responded in a sarcastic tone...”be sure to come back!” This is when he finally made eye contact with me. I should note that I work in the retail industry and understand the importance of signing/pricing and know that errors can occur. I am also a reasonable person that if an error was made, fess up & apologize. It was not about the $. It is the principle of the matter and how I was made to feel. It makes me think that I could have been overcharged multiple times at this establishment...as it is just “a piece of paper, on a string...anyone could move it.” I was made to feel like an idiot...that he was doing me a favor, taking my money. This one experience has left a lasting impression on me. With that said, I will not return. I am taking my business to the many, many other...
Read moreHorrible customer service from the young heavy set fellow upfront with glasses (he refused to give me his name). We always visit this neighborhood store and usually buy a specific spirit. On our last visit we were treated terribly because of a price difference. The bottle scanned at a different price than was shown on the rack and the price we always pay. I noticed it on my receipt and mentioned it to the clerk. He assured me the price on the receipt was correct. I returned to the rack that showed the lower price and bought the label to the counter as instructed by the floor clerk to ask for a price adjustment. The cashier clerk blatantly refused to honor the price adjustment and proceeded to ignore me. I asked if he needed my credit card back and he said “for what??”. I explained to him that as a business he must honor the price that is advertised. Again he refused and said “that’s not how it works, we forgot to change the price label shown, we will not give you a refund for the difference”. My jaw was on the floor. How can a business we patronize treat us like this? At this point it wasn’t about the $5 but more about treating your customers respectfully and appreciating them. A sensible gentleman that also works there came over and told the young fellow to do the right thing and give us the refund. I handed him my card and he grudgingly processed the refund and slammed my card and the receipt on the counter. I asked him for his name and he refused to give it to me- another clerk chimed in and said his name is William (I doubt that’s accurate). We will never shop at this store again. One customer down and if this behavior continues I’m sure they will lose more customers...
