The line to order isn't so bad during the weekdays maybe 5mins tops, and please keep in mind the wait for the waffle is another 10/15mins. The loud music they have blasting is a nice distraction I guess..maybe not for some. The staff here are friendly and courteous! Love the wall poster of the Chinatown building rooftop - very Brooklyn chic. There is minimal space for eating, it is a strictly to go type of place. There is counter in the front with two/three few chairs and that's it.

There are sweet and savory waffles to choose from and a sundae as well. For the sweet waffle,

  1. select waffle type (original, green tea and chocolate)
  2. select ice cream flavor (aside for vanilla and strawberry I forgot the rest)
  3. select the toppings for your waffle (unlimited)
  4. wait patiently for your waffle creation

There is probably 4/6 bubble waffle irons in the back cranking out the hot waffles for everyone so be patient! My waffle creation consisted of green tea waffle, strawberry ice cream, mango chunks and condensed milk drizzle - obviously no complaint about my masterpiece :) Now my gripe, the ice cream melts way to fast on a hot waffle - they should let the waffle rest a few minutes but I waited for my waffle to damn long already - dilemma, dilemma. The waffle underneath the ice cream became mushy and inedible by the time I was able to reach of it. The paper cone is a great vessel to hold my waffle masterpiece but it SUCKS at containing the melted ice cream runoff. I was not aware of the little hole at the tip of the cone, so the pink liquid from the strawberry ice cream dripped on my light colored pants and shoes. Not cool! So remember grab a ton of napkins before leaving, you will thank me.

Anyways due to the lack of seating, I headed across the street to Columbus Park to enjoy my waffle and watched...

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 But you can take it to-go outside Overall: I would come back and I have come back many times!

One of my to-go dessert spots! Their sundaes are so cute and I love the Chinese egg waffle twist on it. However, that is not the only part that makes Eggloo so good. The waffles themselves are great quality - slightly crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside (and they are also available in different flavors!). Their ice cream is actually really great quality - I believe that they make it in house possibly, because they have some really unique flavors occasionally. Toppings are choose what you want. For the price it is reasonable - it is a huge portion. I have been here many times, and Eggloo never disappoints!! Highly recommend!

Tip: Bring it outside across the street and eat in the park. You can watch the Chinese elders sing and do taichi LOL...

It was a lot better than expected it to be! The first time I went to Eggloo, it was closed for a week, so I was pretty disappointed. I went today only because I did not want to wait and have the long lines return. It was a great idea because there was no line and the staff was super attentive and friendly. The place was still packed and it's cash only, so just an FYI. The place is pretty small so I hope you're prepared to get it to go or eat it outside.

On to the food itself...it was really great, did not expect it to be so good but it really was and I loved it. I thought the fruity pebbles and cookies and cream would have been bigger pieces and also thought they would have more fruit options they than strawberries, but sadly it was all they had. I really do hope they expand the menu with more fillings and fruity options, but other than that it was...

Came here on a Sunday afternoon close to 5pm. The store was pretty empty! It is a rather small shop and doesn't have much room for seating (only a few by the window) which could be a problem during the winter time as you don't want to be eating outside! We only got an egg waffle in the original flavor. The egg waffle flavor was good but some of the bubbles on the edges were not fully formed which makes me think they didn't fill their waffle iron with enough batter. They toped the bubble waffle with powdered sugar which I have never seen before. I have pretty high standard for bubble waffles as I used to live in Hong Kong and these don't aren't quite like it in both taste and texture. It was still decent and I would get one again and would love to try the whole experience with ice cream and toppings next time (maybe in the summer when it's warmer out!)
