This hotel was absolutely wonderful! I would stay here again and recommend to anyone. It's smaller than I realized with only about 54 rooms, so it has a boutique feel to it.
We arrived around 3:00PM where we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. They had a room available and everything about the check-in process left an outstanding first impression. We knew immediately that we made the correct hotel choice.
Our room was on the third floor. When we opened the door, everything just felt clean and "new". You could tell things are just well maintained. It also felt very modern. The view was nothing exciting, but that didn't matter at all and we didn't pay for a view. They had a little teddy bear and 2 bottles of water in the room as a welcome gift. The room is small, but honestly laid out perfectly. We have stayed in NYC many times, but this was just perfect for 2 people. There are drawers under the bed, a small closet, drawers by the bathroom sink, ledges in the shower, and two small night stands (one with a mini fridge built in). There were outlets exactly where you need them along with built in USB ports. There were pegs on the wall and shower to hang towels (may not seem like a big deal, but I find this to be an issue in about 50% of hotels we stay in). The shower was modern with a rainfall shower head from the ceiling and a hand held wand on the wall. Water pressure was ok, not strong, but not a dribble either. We were surprised to see so many things provided such as toothbrush/toothpaste, shower caps, cotton swabs, makeup remover and 2 pairs of slippers (my wife loved this!). They also had bar soap which we appreciated vs. just a shower or hand gel. The hotel does not use washcloths, but the front desk was nice enough to accomodate us when asked! Overall, the room was clean, fresh, and comforting. There are so many little details that we appreciated, maybe even some we missed. This is the best hotel room I've stayed in while visiting NYC!
There is coffee in the lobby area 24/7. They also have ice and a filtered water dispenser. There is a little microwave and self serve honor fridge for sodas. On two mornings, there were bananas available, also some delicious small pastries from across the street!
It's located right on the edge of Little Italy and Chinatown. We hadn't stayed in this area of manhattan before, but really enjoyed it. We felt very safe and there are so many places to explore nearby. There are subway locations just a few blocks away and it was really convenient taking the train from JFK airport!
Lastly, the roof has a nice little terrace where you can see the local neighborhood big city in the distance. There are chairs and loungers to sit on too. We went up there a couple times, just to take a look from above. It was never busy or crowded up there.
The hotel staff was kind, friendly, and always accommodating. While we didn't need much, it was great to return from the busy city to a calm lobby and...
Read moreI am not going to repeat the positive accolades that others have written in their reviews of this gem of a hotel. Instead, I am going to write a few words of praise around a theme that seems to resonate throughout the building; from the general manager, Morgan, all the way down to the housekeeping staff. What is this attitude, you may ask? Well, it is simple. It is one of caring. Everyone in this hotel genuinely seems to care about the well being of the guests. Let me furnish you with a few examples, and you be the judge.
One day, while waiting for my wife, I seated myself in the hotel’s lobby and eavesdropped and observed a young couple arrive at the check-in counter all disheveled, weary and frazzled from a long day’s journey to get to NYC and the hotel. They had arrived before the prescribed check-in time. It was clear that they just needed to rest and unwind from the stresses of the travel. Morgan handled their registration, provided them with a room that was available, along with some complimentary croissants, and waived the early check-in fee. A caring attitude.
A couple arrived with a baby, and explained to the reception that they were carrying bottles of breast milk that needed to be kept very cold. The front desk receptionist explained to the newly arrived couple that the fridges inside the rooms would not suffice, and volunteered the use of the hotel’s fridge. I watched him take the bottles of breast milk, mark them, and disappear to store them. A simple action that speaks volumes. Bravo Justin.
There were more examples of the caring attitude that were evident during our stay, and I will not waste shot and powder to describe them. Suffice it to say I could not find fingerprints on the stainless steel doors and instrument panel in the elevators. The coffee machine and beverage preparation area were kept pristine clean, as was the rooftop terrace. If you check BEHIND the sliding door to the washroom/toilet, there is NO DUST, and when I looked at the bathroom fan vent cover, it was clean and devoid of dust. Imagine housekeeping cleaning behind doors and the vent covers!
Both myself and my wife have travelled extensively, and have stayed in many first class establishments. The Noble Den, with its caring attitude outpaces...
Read moreMore 4.5 stars but highly recommend it. Our stay at Nobleden exceeded our expectations. We arrived on Thursday evening and the two receptionists we're friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Every day, the receptionists we're extremely helpful, kind, and smiling so definitely 10 out of 10 on customer service. The hotel lobby is small but clean and modern. The room we stayed in was a single queen bed and it was very small but everything was laid out so that it never felt claustrophobic. The sink and shower in the room is unusual but we got used to it and ended up liking it. The water closet is separated from the room by a door. The room was clean and very cute (they even give you a teddy bear as token) and it is the most equipped room I've been into. The provide a sanitary bah, q tips, shower caps, make up remover wipes (hallelujah), combs, and toothpaste and toothbrush. The body lotion,. shampoo, and bar soap have a very pleasant smell. They clean the room every other day but if you need clean towels or other things you can just ring the lobby and ask for them. There is a small outdoor patio but the view isn't great. The only issue with the room is that the toilet plumbing kept making some noises and the hand shower head was leaking but nothing that affected out stay and that can be fixed easily. Make sure to check out the roof top, even in winter, because the view is beautiful, and I imagine it would be really pretty during the warmer months. Downstairs, behind the elevators, you can get complementary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, and filtered water. Also, every morning at 7:30 there are free croissants in the lobby, first come first serve. I haven't seen this anywhere I've been. The location of Nobleden, between Little Italy and Chinatown, is perfect because it's away from all the chaos and traffic but there are a lot of restaurants and Soho is perfect for some shopping. The metro will take you anywhere you want to go in no time. It's also 15 minutes walking from the Brooklyn bridge if you like walking. The area is safe and I felt comfortable walking alone at night. I've been in NY three times now and this is the best hotel I've been and definitely the one we'll stay...
