We just happen to bump into Daniel’s business because we were eating ramen right across from him, and recognized his face from being on a Netflix show that we watched as a family.

The designs and colors of his chocolates made my mouth watery. The color choices and descriptions of chocolates as we spoke to him were like poetry.

I asked him, if he had to showcase one of his chocolates inside a glass case for everyone to see in a museum, which one would he showcase? He said the Salty Caramel which is the one I’m eating on the video.

I absolutely loved bumping into Daniel, and trying his chocolates was just a fantastic element of surprise.

The packaging!!!! The simple but classy packaging was for someone who should be serving chocolates with white gloves.

Hey, Daniel. Congrats on the show and congrats on being a rockstar Chocolatier. NYC had one of the best and people will come to see you from all over the world, if they haven’t already. Thank you...

The service in particular is just phenomenal! The first time I came here, I was served by someone named Savanna. She was the sweetest, kindest person and I felt as though my purchases tasted even better because of this. Because I have now developed an addiction to the ube, I went again and was served by Khylle and Amy. Khylle was so patient with me, and even gave me a recommendation of her own. We bonded over this. It was lovely. Finally, when I came back for more, I was served by Amy. She was so cool and quick with my service. With all three of these people in particular, I just felt so impressed. Daniel, these bon bons you have created have changed the trajectory of my life forever. They are on my mind 24/7 and buying one fills me with such immense joy. And the ube cookies are just a god send!

Khylle, Savanna, and Amy, thank you. And thank you to Daniel Corpuz for creating such...

I don't usually write reviews, but this shop was exceptional.

I buy a dessert for my parents to try every time I visit the city, and I happened upon this place while eating in the area. The display of vibrantly colored bonbons immediately caught my eye. Each of them were beautifully decorated and almost too pretty to eat.

Daniel was extremely kind and happily answered any questions I had. When I mentioned I was giving the bonbons to my parents as a gift later that day, he went above and beyond to ensure the chocolates stayed cold. They were still perfect after spending 8 hours in the NYC heat.

The bonbons themselves tasted very rich, smooth and high-quality. I especially enjoyed the oolong one - I appreciated that the oolong flavor wasn't lost among the chocolate. I'll definitely be back to try some other flavors (especially the pandan one!). Thank you for a wonderful...

Kalamansi confection? Hojicha Tea bonbon? How about one of Philippine coffee? These and more are several of the chocolate offerings Daniel Corpuz has in his newly opened chocolatier. Inaugurated yesterday and located on Mulberry Street, opposite a large garden this pretty chocolatier and cafe is sure to please everyone. Age and I went there today to sample and meet the Chef who we have known from the chocolate circles. A selection of coffee drinks and three types of cookies are available. A delicious chocolate ice cream was given for this warm day. Age and I both had the ice cream which was delicious and we enjoyed talking to Chef Daniel. Chef Daniel was in the Canal Street Market which closed and has been at the holiday markets. He will continue to be at the Union Square one. Now at Mulberry Street one can buy his confections all year round.

This hits a lot of my favorite things: chocolate, local business, high quality, Filipino made! Daniel is such a talented chef and chocolatier. I found out about him through the Netflix show School of Chocolate where (SPOILER ALERT) I believe he was robbed of the winning title! Well, joke’s on them because Daniel’s products are so exquisitely beautiful and delicious. I particularly like the decorative, colorful and shiny bon-bons that make fantastic gifts. Sure, they’re a little pricey but it’s absolutely worth it! He will also sometimes have pop-up stores around NYC. For example, he had a stall during a couple of Filipino Fest Markets during the summer and a stall in the Union Square Holiday Market in NYC. His staff are so friendly (quintessential filipino customer service) and happy, which tells me he manages and pays them well.
