Eye Genius — Local services in New York

Eye Genius is a relatively new store in the area and certainly a rising star. I have been going to this spot for the past two years and recommended to a few of my friends. You probably know that there are quite a few glass wear stores in the area; I used to roam around in different stores looking for stylish and affordable glasses. The interior design is modern and bright - large panels of clear glasses were a great choice for the storefront design! Items are neatly displayed around the store, and items are sanitized after getting touched by customers.

Shoutout to all the staffs, they are extremely friendly and professional- they really don't oversell products but rather focus on recommending the best style to my preference, as well as informing me on only the necessary coating and services to my needs. And I meant this by heart, I actually visited nearly 10 stores and ended up in Eye Genius, for its paramount customer service and shopping experience.

Also, certainly don't be fooled by the small retail space. The store carries a spectrum of affordable to premium eye wears. Unlike many of the other competitors in the area, I found some quality Japanese handmade options. I ended up buying my first pair of casual shades from here and am absolutely in love with it!

I've been going to Eye Genius since they opened, about 3 years ago. The service is always excellent, and I feel being greatly taken care of each time. All staff is very professional and knowledgeable. I've worked with Grace, Kenny, Fernando, and Aric. They are all very good. My recent go-to is Kenny. If you want something different, go a bit off your comfort zone and try a new style, he's your man! He sure found something I haven't considered before, changed my mind about it and ended up getting compliments on my new eye wears. :))

They carry variety of brands and styles (e.g., high end, mid level, different shapes and colors) and have new arrivals every few months which I feel a bit different and step up from other competitors in the area. The store also feels airy and modern. They accept vision insurance plan and knowledgeable about insurance benefits so it's always a breeze to get an estimate before making a decision. This place is truly amazing. The selection and customer service at Eye Genius is second to none. The shop is extremely clean. They have tons of sunglasses and eye glasses from all the best luxury brands, and the employees are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They gave me an eye exam on a moments notice, and they had more equipment than any previous eye doctor I’ve visited. Kenny Ting helped me pick glasses, and spent lots of time helping me find something that fit my face well. When I came back to pick up my glasses, they spent another 20 minutes adjusting the frames, and fitting them nicely to my face. This was another thing that none of my previous eye doctors did for me. In addition to all this, the prices of their frames and sunglasses were far better than anywhere else I looked. I did a lot of research and visited numerous shops before coming here, and I’m very happy I chose Eye Genius in the end.
