El Jeffe — Restaurant in New York

So I went in there the other day for the first time after hearing everyone talk about it and yes the food was amazing the service was awesome and the cashier was exceptional and gave me all the details I need, however I went in again today for the second time because I was so impressed by everything food service everything I came from so far just so that I can have those chips and cheese however tonight happens to be a packed night and that’s okay too. What made this my last and final time going there no matter how good the food was was the cashier. This time it was a different boy looking to be more friendly and familiar than fair and making sure all guest are taking care of according. While dealing with a guest a few of his friends or regular who ever I didn’t think it mattered when spending money made the guest waiting wait but let a few of his friends come to the Side to order drinks. I’m sure drunks are not as much as the food but he felt it was okay to let them go first cool. There were three guest behind me upset because the guest in front of us was taking forever while he moving his friends or regulars out for one 8 drink. I came in today to actually buy 4 steak bowls because I was spreading th word to my friends and they were all interested in which I’m sure that is more than 8. Thank you for the food but I will let people know if your not a friend don’t go because you will have to wait. Despite it being small his stupid actions of letting people go around made it more clustered. Thank you nice cashier he was wonderful and I’m sure you guys are losing money because he has friends. I’m sure to let people know this is not the place if the skinny tall looking boy up front and your not his friend because you will have to wait if the owners and maters expect this oh well my lost no problem other foods but I’m sure you guys won’t be happy at the money lost and people who have left because it wa more important to go to side register and ring up one margarita while people are actually waiting to...

I used to order here a few years ago. Covid hit and literally after this experience I remembered their services was not IT! I decided to give it a chance this past weekend, LOL I was better off going to chipotle!!! I pre-ordered on uber eats. Walked in, nobody greeted me. Literally stood there for 2-3 minutes. The cooks turned around, looked at me and carried on. The cashier, was standing talking to another worker and a female who I think she works at the post office- I dont remember. But she had her food already. Anyway! Walked in, cashier guy is sipping on a McDonald’s frap, what a joke. Someone else came in behind me and shouted she wanted a lemonade, threw the cash at the other guy and got her stuff and went about her business. At that moment I literally did not care about my food lol I wanted to walk out but my sister also wanted it. So, I got my food and added a guac and chips, along with a frozen margarita. Paid and now I'm standing there waiting, and see others walk in and they are greeted and asked what how they can be helped. From the looks of it, they treat their friends or regulars idk the difference at this point with “great service.” And to top it off- the only thing that tasted good was the margarita and chips. Placed an order on Door Dash which they don’t have options to make certain requests like type of taco (flour or corn) or or no onions… etc. So I clicked to place the order and immediately called the store to make sure they got my order and request the options I was looking for and the gentleman who answered the phone said “sorry bro, order is already made” I asked how that’s even possible and he said they aren’t even busy like that right now. And he refused to accommodate my request when I had placed a $94+ order. They began talking to themselves on the phone in Spanish saying I wanted to cha he my order which was never the case because I never got the option to choose what I had wanted in the first place. Not to mention I had called them prior to even placing the order giving them a heads up that my order was coming and that I’d call them as soon as I placed it to let them know which one was mine. Still got laughed at by the employees on the phone and was told I can go ahead and cancel the order then. Very upsetting behavior, I’ve never eaten there before but I’m absolutely never...
