I came here today (3/24) to get my hair braided for Eid. I loved the way the salon looked. Everyone is kind and friendly; thankfully we were able to understand each other because we speak the same language. They are Fulaniâs from Senegal. I was the second client upon entry. The woman who did my hair was very fast. We started at 4:00 and she finished at 6:00. I requested Fulani braids with no extensions; just my natural hair. We got started on taking down my old braids. She blow dried my hair and was amazed at how much hair I had neath that hijab lol. Theyâre just a week and a half old. My scalp was still clean. The only problem is that she braids VERY TIGHTLY my head is in pain. They mistook this as me being tender headed, but Iâm not. They told me to pay $90 but I didnât think that was reasonable because I only had to do my natural hair. I negotiated to pay $85 which I still thought was me being generous. FYI, they take Zelle or cash only. If not for my husband I donât know how I wouldâve paid for this one đ anyways I loved my hair so much but this headache is crazy. But I do recommend just take a painkiller before you sit...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR TIME WASTED !!!! There are about 3 to 4 people in the shop that actually knows how to do hair good, and everybody else is still learning. Iâve been to this braiding shop about five times and only once did I leave there fully satisfied. Itâs my fault for going back but Iâm a sucker for convenience and they are close to my house. There was a time I came in for two cornrows, and I was in the chair for three hours because the lady the owner referred me too, didnât know how to braid.I get everyone need to learn to get there money but at the expense of the customers time!! For 2 braids !!!! For 3 hours!!!! Is crazy. As I was getting my hair braided, I had flyways and my hair was puffing and coming out of the braid she was doing. I see why the Instagram girls charge the way they do because going to the Africanâs is hit or miss and my patience level doesnât agree. Theres no organization, they donât follow appointments and they just let any beginner do your hair. 3/10 I do not recommend unless youâre getting the most basic set of knotless...
