Due to the high rating, I decided to give this place a try with my friend. We sat down in one of the booths which was nice, seats are wood and can be uncomfortable for some people, and the booths are somewhat cozy but because it's walls you're leaning on, it's not the most comfortable booth. Music was great! The bartender told us to scan the QR code for the menu and left. My friend and I were talking and got carried away and when she came back asking if we were ready, we let her know we didn't get to it yet and we'll look at it now. She gave us a look that wasnt exactly nice and we called her back later when we were ready. When asked for recommendations she was very un-enthusiastic and ever since the look we started to feel unwelcome. My friend who is black felt like they were being a bit iffy and a bit less friendly because of them. Drinks were ok but the rose spicy tteopokki we got was subpar. I wouldn't order it again... Overall felt a vibe of hurry up and hey out, you didn't even order a lot feel... I mean I guess if this is how they are it makes sense why they were empty on a...
Read moreCame to this place after a long day of hanging out with friends and decided to stop by to end the night off with a bang. Excellent food, there was korean style dishes and other kinds to go with some alcohol. I have a small stomach so I just ordered some cheesy hash browns, and as someone who really likes the Burger King cheesy tots(when they're available), I must say Firefly's hash browns are better.
They had a lot of different beers to choose from, and the waitress recommended me the Terra beer, which is apparently really popular in Korea right now and was even featured in kdramas, so as a person who loves kpop and kdramas I was more than eager to try it out. I must say, its pretty good, with a light refreshing barley taste, although I'm not a beer aficionado so you'll have to try it for yourself. Definitely better than the Budweisers I've been drinking at home, that's for sure. Will definitely come again with my friends during...
Read moreWent there last night for the first time because we saw these cool, lit-up private tents on the sidewalk which turned out to be the seating area for this bar. The food we tried (fried shrimp, mozzarella sticks, and nachos), the service we received, and the drinks we had were all incredible. The owner and the employees were all super nice and welcoming too - basically everything was great. Prices were beyond reasonable for a bar and they even had the new "newtro" blue soju bottle (Jinro Soju) that I've been seeing recently but never tried. It was amazing. Definitely one of my top favorite soju's now. It tastes much better and cleaner than the same brand's Chamisul Fresh.
Even after this whole pandemic dies down I hope they keep the outdoor tent seating - it's really relaxing. Really wish I took more pictures because the vibe this place gave off was really nice. 5 stars, highly recommend....
