If I could give 0 stars I would. I have been coming to fisherman cove way before nostrand Avenue location was even thought of. I relocated to Long Island but whenever I come to Brooklyn which is rare I always make it my priority to grab fisherman cove. That will no longer happen due to the disrespect I received when I ordered my food. As the lady began to make a plate I asked her was that order mine because I like my food prepared a certain way. She replied yes. In a rude tone. Pushed the food down to a unprofessional kid that was working there for the jerk chicken who in fact was so worried about looking at girls private parts a talking about them out loud skipped my number. When I ask him what happened to my number he replied with a nasty attitude “I forgot, what kind of sauce do you want” as I asked him can I apply my own aside he stated that wasn’t the store policy as he poured a bunch of sauce on the chicken I didn’t ask for. When I asked to speak to the manager because of him being rude he pushed the food to the side and ignored my request. Thank god the cashier was professional and had a beautiful demeanor About herself. To the owner if you allow these people to keep working for you I promise eventually they are going to do it to the wrong person and it’s going to cost your business more than a $10 plate of food. The food that I ordered wasn’t given to me for free. I paid for it therefore I should be treated with respect and it should be given to me the way I ask....
Read moreNEVER AGAIN! i go to Fisherman's Cove for my son and this was my 3rd trip and my last. This all starts with the cashier who did not give my receipt to the food line. I pay and wait and wait, wait, wait for about an hour and other people coming and going. The cashier was watching me from afar the whole time and she knew it. I go to counter and tell the girl that bags the food this day 6/1/18 about my hour or more wait. I hand her the receipt and she goes down by the food and stops next to her coworkers to watch the outcome of Wheel Of Fortune and also tries to solve the puzzle. I went to the cashier and asked her to please just give me my money back and that is when they decide to hurry and get my food. They knew they were in the wrong by the look on my face. I took my order and left and they forget that we the people are keeping them in business. The more reviews good or bad reflects on the business. In order for us to have something for our people , we first have to treat us with respect and dignity. Many of us go here after a long days work and i can see waiting maybe 20 minutes but when a customer pays and and waits even longer then we should at least receive an apology . I did not receive it and they all act like they did not care. On this note whomever owns this place needs to have daily meetings or something because we keep the place open! I put one star because this was the only way to post...
Read moreThis is the better of the two locations that I’m aware of. If you think the service is terrible here, DO NOT go to the Canarsie location. I don’t know what it is about Caribbean restaurants and their deficiency in customer service. I think they’ve adopted the French manner of thinking - that as long as their food is good, they can be as snooty or crabby as they wish and the people will keep on coming. It may also be a male vs female thing: I’ve noticed that the females are calmer and closer to polite - to the verge of butt-kissing - to male customers. (That’s not even a singular observation; I’ve gotten the same comment from friends and family.) Apart from service, there’s a huge dining pet peeve that I’m pretty sure is illegal: although this location actually has a menu of items, there is absolutely NO posted or written evidence of prices. Are you to expect me to believe that everyone who works there knows the prices of every single item off the cuff? I think that, as with many businesses (such as beauty salons) when business is slow, they make up new prices that newbies, unaware of actual prices, will likely pay - not knowing any better.
So, in all, I’d rate the food B+ to A- (depending on your order and time of day (older foods start to taste old) ) and apart from the one or two random workers with temperate behaviors, I’d rate the customer...
