Rosally African Hair Braiding — Local services in New York

Completely disappointed in my services today. The owner I texted was late so she asked me to go to her sister’s location. The sister did not correctly blend the two color mixes together and it looks like highlighted colors all over. Not what I showed both ladies in the photo, that is my fault for not correcting them. Another man came an hour into my appointment and started chipping paint off the walls. 3 hours later he is banging holes loudly into the wall next to me to hang up a pipe looking object. The sister who is still doing my hair has a mask on because of the paint and lead smell. I notice my lungs and nose start to burn and ask for my mask. I bring up to the owner and she is arguing back and saying that he is almost done while cutting me off before I can finish my sentence. I have asthma and come to my appointment for relaxation to not worry about my hair. Not to smell paint and hear construction work in the salon. Very unprofessional and will not be returning as a first time client. They said sorry but you do these things with 3 other customers including me in the salon. Also did not like my hair at all, the sister only braided halfway down and the hair was just up to my waist so not long. I had to go home and curl my own ends. Just finished crying about my hair 💔 this is the worst feeling for a woman and you sent so much money to do it...

DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE RUDE AND HAVE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! On Saturday, June 29, 2024, I arrived for my hair appointment at 8:00 am as scheduled. However, when I called Miriam, she informed me that she would be there in 5 minutes. Unfortunately, those 5 minutes turned into 34 minutes. Eventually, her sister arrived and started working on my hair. To my disappointment, her sister DOES not know how to braid. I was expecting a TRIBAL MOHAWK which was the specific service I was expecting from Miriam NOT HER SISTER. From 8:34 am until 12 pm the only part that was completed WAS DA FRONT!!! and it's important to STATE that Miriam never touched my head during this time. What frustrated me even more was when Miriam asked another woman to finish my Mohawk tribal design, even though the woman only COMPLETED 4 freaking braids To add to my frustration, the woman even had the audacity to tell me that she was hungry and needed a break. Maimouna did an amazing job!! She spoke positivity over my hair with words of affirmation, and finished my knotless waist length box braids in less than 5 hours! The shop was clean, spacious, quiet, had heat and an air conditioner for when it got a lil warm.
