Fisherman's Cove — Restaurant in New York

Fisherman’s Cove has fallen off. I have been buying from this restaurant for years and Ive finally reached a place where I’m done with them. So I enter the restaurant trying get a side of a rice and peas for my child with no meat . I stand on the line and when I finally get to the woman at the register the woman tells me I can’t be sold rice and peas alone . She insists that I just buy an entire meal. I said “ no I don’t need the meat I just wanted a side of rice and peas. She tells me I don’t have enough rice and peas to sell on the side to you . I can’t sell it this way . Feeling confused and embarrassed I was furious !! I was clearly looking at the food in the display class and there’s a huge pan full of rice . Why is she saying I can’t get a side of rice ? I thought businesses wanted money ? I thought businesses go above and beyond to please their CUSTOMERS!!!! I said to the woman this makes no sense because if I want to buy a side of anything I shouldn’t be told I can’t because you want me to buy a meal . This is absolutely ridiculous. I was so mad at her and the service . The woman didn’t care or show any interest in my needs to want rice . She just called the next person .

I have stuck with FC for years but after this rude encounter. I am done supporting them. The jerk chicken has been subpar , the food has fallen off with all the dry food being presented and being sold . The portions and the quality is inconsistent and lacks luster ! Food is great, but customer service is a big NO NO....cashiers are very rude, everytime i go there i end up in a argument with the cashiers because of their disgusting attitude. If you do not like your job THEN QUIT!!!!!! Cause i come here and pay for my food and not beg so i expect to get the service that i am paying for and mind you there food is not cheap. Cashier forgot my item and now i have to waste another 15 min. Of my life to go back and deal with more attitudes. Fisher Mans Cove need to do better when it comes to customer service. Didnt even want to give you ppl a star. I do not tolerate disrespect when it comes to my mother and the cashier tried to disruspect her one day and lorddddd i lost it in there. Where do i even put in a complaint? Who is the manager? Customer service is HORRIBLE....worst location EVER!!!!!!!!! Dnt even want to go back to that place no more. You've lost a valuable customer, been coming since i was a kid with my parents and now im old enough with a kid to know right from wrong and the way your employees treat customers is wrong! I've been going here for years and always try to be nice to the cashier as I place my order but she always has the most nastiest attitude ever. She has a brown complexion and always has her hair in a low ponytail. She always does the cashier at the Newkirk location. Today was the final straw for me. Her attitude was worst than ever and all I did was place and order and as she recited it back to me her tone was disgusting and rude. If she doesn't like her job she should't work there because she makes the establishment look really bad. I see why my friends stop coming to this location.everytime I leave this place my day is just ruined from her negative energy. That's not how customers should feel after leaving a business. I'll never return to this location I'll just try another location but for now I won't be supporting this business because how I felt today wasn't acceptable to me.
